Sarr should be there

 

It's alright, as I mentioned the other week on here, we already hold the lifetime rights in perpetuity to the soul of the EFL awards after Matty the Otter was nominated for both Young Player of the Season and overall Championship Player of the Year and won the overall Champ award whilst Tom Ince, a year Vydra's senior, had to make do with the Young Player token. Since then we are unimpeachable.

 

If Kiko don't get in the team of the year the thing is a joke. What's the bettering we won't have any defenders in there despite potentially having the record for least goals conceded in a Chanpionship season.

So that’s just the one Watford player (who has played a similar number of minutes to Sierralta and Hughes) and who almost certainly isn’t in our top 5 for POTS. Largely a product of the Championship’s dearth of options at LB but still. The team doesn’t even have any tactical balance either.

I mean if you’re going to pick a Watford player who’s played more or less half the season surely you go with Sierralta or Hughes??

 

They had an empty spot and realised we had no players in there despite being 2nd.

But why’s Morrison in there? Unexceptional year for Cardiff and a full 20 more goals conceded than our defence.

 

Thinking about it, maybe it's Masina because he's the only LB in the Division not to get roasted by Sarr?

 

While we can argue the toss about who should or shouldn’t be in there, surely the team doesn’t need tactical balance? It’s not actually going to ever line-up and play a game.

 

What an utterly odd selection of players

 

Luke O'Nien in the League 1 Team of the Year. Fair play to him.

 

Has a lot of layers to his game, does O'Nien.

 

I think they realised they had to include a Watford player but couldn't justify picking Sierralta, Sarr or Hughes over those that made it in so ****ed off whoever they originally picked in the LB spot to shoehorn Masina in there.

Would be bloody hilarious if we somehow won the title now, though.

 

I seem to remember Danny Graham getting in it once.

 

Just hilarious that the biggest football data base in Opta literally has Kiko outscoring every RB in the league per 90. Yet so predictable that Aarons would be picked

Considering most teams play 433/4231 team of the season should represent that.

Clearly Richards should be at LB, not even Henry as I stated earlier.

I’ve said it before, Aarons is only rated as highly as he is because he’s young and English. Kiko is better defensively and probably just as good going forward.

So a case could easily be made for Bachmann being the GK in TOTS.

 

Can’t believe there are only 5 Norwich representations.

Although it would look a bit strange if we actually won the league.

 

That is almost certainly 100% correct.

 

I don’t think Henry should be in the TOTS, even though he is the best LB in the league. He’s been injured for much of the season. I know that is true of Masina, Hughes, Sierralta etc but they have had excellent second halves of the campaign which have proved decisive.

Richards definitely a better TOTS LB candidate but reckon they realised that 2 Reading players and no Watford players would look a little silly so squeezed Masina in.

 

Just incredible that they could get it so wrong.

It’s not exactly difficult. The amount of data that is available, even for free, would give them the correct team.

This literally just stinks of guessing, added in with, friends at the clubs. The only way Morrison got in is surely down to someone that is picking the team is a family member. No logical reason for his inclusion.

 

An utterly bizarre piece of work.

Based on the level of intelligence and insight at play here it wouldn’t surprise me if Deeney was quite close to being picked.

 

Is this team selection going to stop our promotion?

 

Imagine the mental gymnastics we’d need to have done if at the start of the season someone told us all we’d comfortably finish second and Masina would be our best player.
