In fairness to Moosegasm, yes his views are somewhat on the extreme end of the scale (even compared to me and a few others) this is a WFC forum, for discussing all things WFC. You can be upset and annoyed about several things at once, the WFC part of the WFC forum isn’t really the place to discuss the war in Ukraine, the cost of living crisis and the impending recession is it? Who is to say Moosegasm isn’t also annoyed/upset about those things too (because it’s possible to have thoughts and feelings about more than one thing) but is expressing them elsewhere, on a more relevant/appropriate platform? Just because worse things are happening in the world, it doesn’t mean people can’t be annoyed about Watford on a Watford forum.

Terrible, awful things happen every day that far outweigh the running of Watford football club on the scale of importance, so taking that to its logical conclusion we may as well just shut the forum down.

My issue was just that it made no sense. Too many holes for a detailed point by point reply but “the Pozzos are billionaires”. What does that even mean ? Did someone say they were ? Or does he mean they are and so should invest more? Just assumed it was drunken late night ramblings.

*Watched the first 45mins of the game, so can only comment on that. Burnley looked poor. All very pretty football with possession and passing the ball nicely, but absolutely zero threat in the final third. If they play like that against us we will batter them. No idea how they played the second half, assuming it was much better because they scored. First 45mins, very nice on the eye, but dreadful.

 

We haven’t completed the second round of games yet and already there are only two teams with a 100% record.

 

When the Pozzos took the over the club the constantly repeated narrative was that they were billionaires. The billionaire tag was conveniently dropped sometime after the takeover. The reality is that they don't appear to be billionaires (unless they are hiding their money well) and theyve lumbered us with a 9 figure debt. It was yet another piece of fake PR.
