They started the meeting yesterday lunchtime with "Hi Rob" and he started waving and blubbing. They're just waiting for him to stop blowing kisses so they can get to "Thanks for coming in".

Absolutely outrageous! he took them to the premier league you know! the previous manager had done all the hard work before Edwards came in, but still, so ungrateful!

 

We all thought he was hard done by by Pozzo and co but then he went to the scum, the turd got flushed out the toilet.

 

Disaster. I was hoping that blind faith would keep him there.

Well he got two clubs promoted and was hardly given enough time with us. A personable coach and I'm sure he will find new opportunities.

So of the three managers to get relegated from the Premier League last season one is currently top of the Bundesliga, one is currently 3rd in the Championship (would be top but for a points deduction) and one is errrrrrr…..

 

It's official. With his usual dignity, call me Rob has accepted his fate stoically...

Thought the only way he’d get the can is if they were in serious relegation trouble at the business end of the season, I guess they thought their predicament was pretty serious to sack him

**** me, two (home) derby victories against us bunch of cloggers ranked up there with promotion to the Premier League as their 'greatest days', pretty slim pickings for their CEO to offer him praise for. They beat us this season sure, but have lost pretty much every other game.

I think if you knew Rob, and didn't get a personal thanks in that statement you'd be pretty disappointed.
So few wins he could pretty much list them all in the statement.
...and covering for @Keighley 's strange absence at present......."There are some really top young talent at the club." TuT, TuT....

 

I'm torn between finding this incredibly cringeworthy, and thinking how much it would probably mean to me if I was one of those staff members who usually go largely uncredited.

 

What the hell have the cleaners and the finance team done wrong, to not warrant a mention ???????

 

They would have got promoted that season regardless of who their manager was because of the momentum they built. Rob was just the perfect cheerleader who got horribly found out. Cardboard cut-out of Xisco.

A lot of what I read online from L**** fans was about his stubbornness and refusal to change things until it was too late, even when it was obvious it wasn’t working.

All managers have their own system but the better ones learn to adapt and change it when it goes wrong.
