He’s clearly a very poor manager which was painfully evident with us once he managed us in the PL.

There are countless examples of assistants and coaches taking temporary charge of teams and doing really well initially because the players had given up playing for the outgoing manager. That’s basically what we got from Munoz at just the right time, but that’s always a temporary thing, and in the long term little things like tactics always win out.

Fbref is the best freely available one, has it for a fair few leagues and uses Opta data which is pretty good (probably the 2nd best xG model i've seen). Also has a ton of other stats that are pretty useful for a free site.

 

A bit like with Javi (who we perhaps should have kept), the Pozzos shat the bed, it would have been far better to can him at the end of the season and let the new man do his thing than give him a few games in which we understandably didn't perform in. I saw a lot of Watford fans jump on Wednesday fans when they seemed excited about the appointment, which was a bit upsetting as he's clearly a great bloke and did help us go up when things were looking less than promising, but it's basically the truth...

I'd have thought with the last-ditch nature of their promotion that they'd be more realistic about their chances, but even so, 1 point after 6 games will have anyone under pressure. I genuinely wish him well, he's one of the few managers we've had recently who we've grown a proper attachment to, but I can only see things going one way unfortunately

 

Lost all their loan players from last season who were the difference .

I’ve not seen them play but their XG points puts them mid table so maybe like is they’ve not got their just rewards.

 

Far too early to say this, we're as likely to trouble the top 6 as we are the bottom 3 right now I'd say!

 

Or they might just have a shaky defence/goalie and misfiring strikers, xG doesn't always even out!

Apparently Huddersfield seriously explored hiring Jill Ellis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jill_Ellis) as their new manager. Would've been a huge moment for the game. They've ultimately gone for Darren Moore instead though it looks like
