Football insider saying Sander Berge is joining Club Brugge. Would be bizarre this late, and surprised no PL clubs are in for him.

Would be excellent news for us if true.

 

Cristiano Giarreta has spoken publicly to reassure fans concerned the club has hired a manager who plays a 352 system without signing a RWB:

Giarreta stated 'It's a big misconception in football that to play a system requiring 2 wing backs, you need 2 wing backs. 352 is the Pozzo family's favoured formation in the championship and that's why we havent signed a RWB. Our manager plays with wing backs and we back him 100%, thats why we havent signed a right wing back. It's crucial to his system to have a RWB, so we didn't sign one'.

On hearing the news one Watford fan commented 'This C is F ing insane'

 

Good news from today was that Burnley and Boro were both hoping to splash big money on strikers but neither could get a deal over the line.

 

Shame Blackburn held onto Brereton.

 

We've got a great squad for the season. Choudhury and Asprilla are excellent additions and hopefully Davis and Hause will be too. Also keeping both JP and Sarr is quite amazing.

However much RE loves 352 our best 11 is clearly a 433 and pretty much picks itself. Bachmann Cathcart Sierralta Hause Kamara Choudhury Louza Asprilla Sarr Davis JP.

I think the fans have got it spot on with the increasing scrutiny, criticism and demands for accountability of Pozzbury while continuing to get behind the players and support the team on matchdays.

Whether we go up or not, Im really looking forwsrd to seeing the likes of JP, Sarr and Asprilla in yellow, blue or zebra style this season. That Juventus, Santos, Newcastle, Notts County, Botafogo, St Mirren, Udinese 3rd kit is real quality! Still waiting for the tricolour home and away kits a la Brazil and Colombia though.

WBA screwed up their paperwork so didn’t get their signings of Alzate and Onomah over the line. They’ll be a bit late in midfield now. Good news for us as they’ve got one of the best squads in the league.

What a delightful last minute equaliser - celebrated it almost as much as on Tuesday night. Like a free two points for us.

West Brom had somehow been as wasteful in front of goal for 97 minutes as they had been previously against us.

Good for us that it ended up a draw.

 

Muric had a great game I thought on so many levels, made some great saves, commanded his box and played the ball which led to their penalty, Bailey Peacock-Farrell is highly mediocre and maybe could have done better for the goal?

 

Granted, Burnley were much more of a threat than we were before and after their goal, but West Brom had 23 shots, 4 more than against us!

 

Given his size, he is a cardiac arrest waiting to happen.

 

OK, maybe I was being harsh on Peacock-Farrell!

 

We talk about Kalu a lot (rightly so ) but the idea that Jed Wallace claims to be 28 is almost as laughable. He's enjoying a second career after retiring from his first, if he's a day.

 

Not as goalshy, but judging by their finishing against us and Burnley, they try their best!

 

Maybe they'll bid for Bayo come January.

Bonham/Poleon would genuinely be a great heartwarming film. Hopefully ends with Bonham winning the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2024.

 

Starting to fall behind the front runners, Norwich have a 3 point gap on us, and Sheffield United could open up a 4 point gap if they win tomorrow. No reason we can't get top 6, but I'm not sure we have it in us to get top 2

While Norwich are on a good run think it's important to remember they've played 5 pretty poor teams in the league, 3 at home.

(Huddersfield, Millwall, Sunderland, Birmingham, Coventry)

They'll be up there, but certainly not guarantee for top 2
