Sunderland certainly huffed and puffed, although they looked like that classic underdog who just lack that end product

 

We have no of going up unless we bring in 3 or 4 players before September 1st.
We look lost other pitch. No shape, no game plan and teams look as if they can score at any time against.
A season of struggle if we do not buy or get players in on loan very, very soon.

They played their home Carabao Cup tie in Burton, but they weren't allowed by the EFL to switch their home games to away games, a shoddy show all around, Wasps really don't come out of it very well at all

 

So glad we don't have to share our pitch with a rugby team anymore. Imagine them ruining our carpet

I do too, although the heat is on now, Burnley, Norwich and Sheffield United really hitting a good run of form now while we are just chugging along!

 

Funny to think all the teams we've beaten have been promotion candidates (Sheffield United and lately Burnley have looked very good since!), and yet it's the mid to lower table teams we couldn't beat! I wonder if there's something to that, or whether it's just dumb luck

 

It was completely the other way round in 2014/15.

 

Against 4 of the other 4 favourites for promotion we have accrued 10 points at 2.5ppg

The other 3 games against middle and/or lower we accrued 2 points at 0.67 ppg.

To succeed in this division you need to dispatch the lower 15-20 teams on a regular basis. Thats how you string the 5 game winning runs together.

We need to see RE devise an approach against these teams, otherwise its play offs not autos.

 

Are Preston ever going to concede a goal? Six and a half games and counting. They would be lauded in Italy.

 

Reminds me of the second Roeder season so many games were 0-0 or 1-0 to us as we plodded to about 8th place!

 

There's nothing to worry about atm. Apart from the QPR blip the middle/lower teams were away matches. I think we might have beaten Preston and Birmingham at home like we have done against some of the promotion chasing sides so far. Once we get our best 11 out on the pitch a better chance turning away draws into wins.

 

Would be great for him if he got to come back to the Vic and keep a clean sheet here. Recuperation complete.
