Cleverly/Hughes/Chalobah/Gosling. Oh......hold on.
Was it us? I'm definitely going us. We signed Obbi Oulare as a favour didn't we?
Or Laurie Sanchez
This signing is a total waste of time. Ponderous, lazy and lacking concentration. I cannot imagine that he has changed with age.
I guess speaking spanish may help him with Xisco.
No fans in the ground, but we are filling up the seats with our lastest signings: Gosling, Lazaar and now Sanchez.
Looks in good shape as of 5 weeks ago.
Not necessarily a bad thing on its own, West Ham took Dawson who was described as a "clown" on here, and Everton paid millions for Doucoure, who was also called a "clown" on here. Both seem to be doing well at the top end of the Premier League.
I see you’re making things up as usual, if you are trying to insinuate that this forum was anti Doucoure. It was acknowledged widely on here that losing Doucoure was a blow but inevitable.
Dawson was disappointing in his season for us. Not sure that is controversial.
Wow, whoever said he was overweight wasn't lying. What a fat mess.
I'm not making anything up. He was described as a clown on here on at least one occasion and was heavily criticised as to his ability on many occasions. My point is that just because this Sanchez was described as a clown by one person, on its own, does not mean he is a clown.
I am not sure why you go straight to the accusation of lying, it is unecessary, particularly when I was telling the truth.
So one person calls Doucoure a clown on one occasion therefore the views of all football fans on potential signings should be ignored? Great logic.
My mum called me stupid, at least once. But over the years she made it quite clear that she didn’t really think that.
During his time at Watford, Doucoure was brilliant for us. End of.
It's a no-risk easy argument starter to suggest he's going to be good. If he turns out to be our season defining player, you can revel in the glory of your risk-free prediction coming true.
If he's not, no one is ever going to remember him anyway so there's no consequences for the prediction anyway. I'm sure the usual suspects suggested Lucas Neill would be an excellent acquisition.
Well, apart from last season. Partly his fault, partly a decision to play him as a number 10 from football genius Nigel Pearson.
Are you really that thick? I was responding to ONE comment made by ONE West Ham fan. And I said that on comment on its own does not mean he's a clown. Seemingly you agree with me in that it may be that the rest of the fanbase might think a player was not a clown.
It's your own logic that needs checking out, you dimwit.
First of all we don't play in the Premier league. We just have to give him a chance. Not saying it isn't bizarre but the whole transfer windows over the last few seasons have been.
Anyway spoke to my Roma supporting father in law and he said he was a solid DM player in Serie A. Just neat and tidy without being spectacular. That will do for me. I can't really recall seeing much of him but he's here and is needed.
Anyways my old head needs and explanation on this COGS and BEDWETTERS reference?
It’s not a hard concept. Most on here thought Doucoure was excellent. One person (according to you) called him a clown.
So given the Doucoure sentiment for us if a random West Ham fan assessed Sanchez as a clown, the balance of probability is that he is a reasonable judge of the player and not the complete outlier.
Pause and have a think and see if you can work it out before replying.
Well, funnily enough the very first reply on the Lucas Neill signing thread was...you
#wfcforums civil war.
(Actually, just a normal day at the office).
FWIW my West Ham supporting friend said Sanchez was dreadful and made Mark Noble look like N’Golo Kante. Guess that’s irrelevant though as someone on here once called Doucs a clown.
I'll give any new player a chance and base my opinion on how he does, not what other fans from other clubs think.
But it's ironic that we may lose out on promotion because a lack of strength in depth in midfield. It was the one area I had no worries about, especially when Capoue decided to stay.
Letting Capoue, Quina and Garner go in January, leaving us with injury prone Chabs, Hughes and Cleverly looked dodgy at the time. Now we are playing 3 in the middle it looks even more so.
Or a long term Ivan Pavlov experiment. Which is providing fully expected results. Every single time.
But we often made Mark Noble look like Messi when he ran through our defence.
Don't bother replying, just read your last sentence, and then ask yourself why (as it is a simple concept) why you have written such nonsense. Either do that, or just go and have a lie down.
Nope - read it three times and still no idea what you are talking about.
he's still got the hair!
He simply MUST start v forest.
Can Gino convince him to change his surname to Kickaball
I'm not surprised you don't even know what you are writing, let alone anyone else. What on earth does this mean? "So given the Doucoure sentiment for us if a random West Ham fan assessed Sanchez as a clown, the balance of probability is that he is a reasonable judge of the player and not the complete outlier."
My original post was to point out that when a football fan calls a player a clown, that doesn't necessarily mean that he is a clown and that he may actually be a good player. Pretty standard stuff and non-controversial I would say.
But you seem to want to pick a fight over that!
Can’t be bothered to continue. The point I made was so obvious.
It's illogical gibberish, and you know it.
If he's overweight I'm in big trouble
Is this clown injured yet?
Someone mentioned he has not played in The Championship before, so lets hope and pray he comes into his own at this level like one or two others have done for us, and that he might possibly prove to be a useful players at this level.
In one interview I’ve been convinced. He’s firing us to the Prem. Best CM in the league.
"When the club called me, I said 'yes, of course'."
Pretty sure we do all of our transfer business from the phone book.
Welcome to Watford Aaron Aaronson!
