Nonsense. Cucho will be delighted as his father was a great fan of Carlos at his peak.

No doubt he used to be pretty decent, but his cap count doesn't really count for much given his recent injuries, lack of game time, poor performances in England and age.
Would prefer Carlos Santana.
This is what I'm confused about. You're right that he must have been decent. But everyone says he's crap? Villa fans says he's one of their worst ever? But top league clubs keep signing him, and Colombia kept playing him?
I'm hoping he's at least one of those players who is decent at one thing in particular. If he can simply he a destroyer to sit in the midfield with no technical ability, he could be an asset as an option off the bench..
Or even Aranxta Sanchez Vicario.
A whole midfield,a headband and a few RG titles!
You’d have hoped that the clowns would have realised that terminating loans, selling players and sending first teamers on loan all in central midfield would leave us short of bodies. However it seems they only realise we are short when we have 2 midfielders left available.
Gotta love it though. Hierarchy getting praise for (not really) solving a problem that wasn't a problem until they made it one and everyone saw said problem happening before they made it.
Garner didn't want to be here when he wasn't playing 6 games ago, doubt he'd have taken another 6 games on the bench and maybe Man U had the primary right to terminate?
Capoue was on high wages and not playing well as he didn't want to be here.
Quina I don't understand and can't justify.
he was shockingly bad when he was in his "prime". Christ knows how much worse he has got since. Awful waste of money
Ditto I agree
Do Udinese not have a decent CM who we could just cancel their contract and then sign them as a free? Surely that would be a better option. Wonder if Brexit would stop that happening.
I have no idea if this is the case with him, but i've since learnt that a number of deals that don't make sense are purely agent based. Clubs will sign players as a favour to an agent that they hope to do future business with. I heard of a PL club taking one agent's (*****) player as part of a deal for another player they actually wanted recently.
I love the fact he has barely played a game in three years but loads of people can actually remember watching him and how poor he was!
Fair enough Garner wasn't getting much of a look-in at all when we were playing 4-4-2 under Xisco, but I do wonder if he'd have stayed had he known at the time that we'd shift to a 4-2-3-1? Wouldn't have been an automatic choice by any means, in fact he probably would have been 5th choice, but he'd have got a decent amount of football and crucially for us, we'd have had a backup player who doesn't play Russian roulette when it comes to cards...
You say this, and I only speak for myself here, but I genuinely do remember how astonishingly terrible he was. I have no other recollection of the game besides how hilariously out of his depth he looked, and that memory has stuck with me.
For me it's not even primarily about ability, it's about fitness.
Can anyone name a player the wrong side of 30 that went several years without playing regularly, suffered a serious injury and then suddenly wound the clock back and was able to perform again?
Even when we were playing 442, leaving us with only 4 centre midfielders was irresponsible. Then the players decided they wanted to play 433 and it's made the people running the club look like clowns.
I think looking at free transfers was always in the plan because we clearly don't have a pot to piss in. But the club have ****ed up so badly that we've had to sign a 35 year old who hasn't played in a year and he might actually have to play on Saturday.
Nothing against Sanchez, none of this is his fault whatsoever. It's all on the people who said something along the lines of doing everything in their power to get us back up this season. If this is everything they've got then we are truly ****ed under the current ownership.
"Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers." 1 Timothy 5:1
“Jesus wept.” John 11:35
"I just whipped your ass." Austin 3:16
noun: The practice of cogging or cheating, especially at dice; trickery; falsehood; knavery.
Ramires is available according to this list.
One of the best haircuts in world football in his prime though.
Comedy gold. I'm sure Valderrama was his hero.
Would prefer Carlos 'The Jackal'.
Would probably cost a bomb, though.
Described as "an absolute clown" by a West Ham season ticket holder I used to work with.
Can’t wait for him to stick one in the top bins from 30 yards this weekend...
...into our own goal.
So loan Quina out to Granada and sign a 35 year old player what a **** up.
We surely have some u23s or u18s that can provide better cover than Mr. Sanchez. If not, we will be struggling if Clevs is a long term absentee.
I thought Aranxta was our current Head Coach
Sanchez is a defensive midfielder which we need , quina supposed to be an attacking one who we have enough of hence he went on loan, exactly why we need to have sanchez a cdm
That's Roberto Batista Agut silly!
Good to see someone still actually thinks sending Quina on loan was a good idea when we have 2 fit centre mids.
Hey ho we wouldn’t want to put an offensive mid in there when we can play a centre back or a winger. Pozzo spot on as always.
What attacking midfielders do we have??
