Got a quick question here what do the players do between the end of the game last night and Saturday ie do they get a rest day today and tomorrow or train. They must be exhausted with 2 games a week
Fortunately for us teams like Cardiff and Luton are the average standard for teams in the division. Two managers, 35 injuries, about 4 good performances all season, Kabasele at the back. 4 points off 2nd with a game in hand. And people laughed when I said this league was an awful standard.
Thought Bilic bringing him on was pretty disrespectful to lowly Cardiff. Shouldn't be showboating like that
He's got the footballing equivalent of a thousand-yard stare. WTE has somewhat managed to shake last season off, but Kaba is so far gone now it's hard to see a way back
"Awful" is relative assessment. It's "awful" vs the prem. It's "great" vs league 1. If we get promoted we will be "awful" vs other prem teams again, and the players that won promotion will be seen as "awful" again despite being of the same quality they are this season.
Most of the team did for the first 9 minutes of yesterday's game. It was an awful start and questions have to be asked why are starting games like this especially away from home. There were echos of Millwall there for sure.
From the games I've watched us play this season Championship refs seem to be adding on more than they have traditionally. Lots of 5s and 6s coming out, whereas in the past it would have been 3s and 4s. Doesn't seem to have translated into the PL games I've caught though. Can't say time-wasting seems any worse than normal really.
Made a jacket spud for lunch today. 40 min in the air fryer and its crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Winner.
Fair enough, I don't watch a huge amount of Championship football these days. I think it's a step in the right direction so I'm not averse to 10 mins being given if deserved. But it should be consistently applied.
Rubbish first 15 Watford came into the game and deserved to win in my opinion All three goals were avoidable from a defensive point of view Not one that will last a long time in the memory bank but the type of game we probably would have lost recently Fair game to the 700 odd fans that went midweek in that weather The end
Given the amount of people who comment on here just prior to kick-off, during the game on the thread and immediately after, I find it hard to believe that would be accurate. I’m not saying it’s your view - but I’d see the inference that positive people go to games whilst negative people don’t, to be strange and pretty misguided. But again, my overriding sense is that I cannot fathom why people can’t just accept we have negative and positive views and they are both free to be aired, commented upon, debated or ignored. This idea that one side ruins the forum for the other and should somehow be silenced is odd.
Hard to be accruate, but Monday and Thursday is training day for most clubs. Friday might be a warm down and prep for the next game with the manager. I do know after each game most team players have a warm down session where they access any possible injuries. Cannot comment on when they have days off, I think it varies from club to club.
Has anyone said that anyone should be silenced ? I think some posters have just said how their enjoyment of the shoutbox is spoilt ("spoiled"?) by a few and it's a shame there isn't an ignore option.
Thank you Skyla much appreciated I was just wondering how it pans out at the moment with two games a week. I would imagine today is a rest day and then tomorrow light session?
I agree with your sentiment on debate and it only gets tiresome with some posters who always have to have the last word. Different opinions make interesting debate. As for posting during games, I do not have the time or it seems connectivity to interact with the shoutbox when I am at games. I like to watch the game all of the time as there is no replay if you miss something while fiddling with your phone!
I imagine it'll be a rest session for the starting 11 with a small session for everyone else. Then a light session + set-pieces on Friday
No point in wasting time on set pieces. Very old-fashioned. Seriously - 2 SP goals yesterday - just luck/conditions or did you notice anything different ?
Didn't really notice much in particular, both teams were pretty awful at defending them with a few shots from each team. Sierraltas first wasn't anything special and he had 2 Cardiff players next to him who for some reason didn't jump. Sarrs was nicely worked, good blocking and runs to free up Sierralta who was definitely the main target, but the delivery was slightly overhit and we got lucky with Sarr/Bayos touch.
I posted 1 message on the shoutbox last night and it was met with a round of applause. I also received kind private messages from hundreds of members on the forum to say that it wouldn’t be the same without my shoutbox contributions (I won’t publicise the names because of GDPR - you guys know who you are Xx). I’m glad that I have the ability to provide endless entertainment to all on the shoutbox, a characteristic I was generously born with. See all my fans soon on our next shoutbox adventure we can all experience together.
4 goals from corners from last 3 games. Thats got to be the total for the last 3 seasons, let alone 3 games.
Delivery from Sema on the cormers was pretty good to be fair. I cannot remember who it was, possibly Kucka, who kept hitting the first man. If you can't get it high into the box, just work a quick pass across the line to a player stood just inside/outside the penalty area and have a pot shot. It's nice to know (at the moment) that when we get a cornder it won't fly into Row Z, but we are still total rubbish a free-kicks in general. Bar Louza's beauty at Blackpool we very rarely get them anywhere near the goal.
The worst is the Clevs lofted chip corner. A bit of pace creates chances like Sarr's. Amazes me that this level of professional footballer can't take a corner.
I don't think it's practiced much in training, that or since we don't really have a regular corner taker, anyone can take it who feels like it hence the level of crapness. But yes I do agree Cleverley was one of the worst.
A classic. Amongst so many classic lines, I Loved the line "I'm as honest as the day is long, The longer the daylight, the less I do wrong"
Definitely one of their best, although I think 'Embarrassment' is my personal favourite. Something to discuss in Saturday's Shoutbox, maybe?
