True. There's no way the Pozzos would sign a player who would barely play for is and then exit a year later.

They never just frivolously sign players who do sod all for us.

Wasn't that the game where one minute he seemed to get knocked out and the next was up and running.

Whilst having to suffer abuse from the Millwall fans?

Yes, they were chanting "You're just a fat Emile Heskey" at him. He spent most of the match jogging slowly up and down the touchline. Reckon he was looking to the linesman for comfort.

I thought he was quite good today. Surprisingly quick considering his stockiness and time out. Great on the overlap and got an assist. I could actually see him making the squad. Certainly lacking sharpness, but there's a good player there.

Played under Bielsa at Marseille, which is no easy task as a FB. Up to him to prove himself to Silva in pre-season

I'm still unconvinced. Did look more mobile going forward granted but also shaky defensively.

Bear in mind he won't be up against the mighty Wimbledon each week.

I certainly don't think he's proven himself a starter. But I'd like to see him stay and prove himself or go on loan and get match fit and get sharp. I wrote him off and I shouldn't. I think there is a good player there, just needs to get back to where he was before his injury.
