For me it's Reading 94 Saturday

    Senseless Things
    Terrorvision
    Pulp
    Radiohead
    Manic Street Preachers
Mad dash to the NME tent for a bit of Elastica

Going to a festival would be close to my worst nightmare (music excluded).
Give me a sweaty small venue every time.

I didn’t go, but did go to Glastonbury that year. Mostly for RATM and the Levellers, but also caught both Blur and Oasis on the NME stage. Good, but not my all time favourite.

RATM pulled out of Reading & Leeds this year only to be replaced by the 1975. Bad times.

Slam Dunk where Enter Shikari celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Take to the Skies. Around 2017. Some cracking bands including Crossfaith and We The Kings played on various stages.

Probably Glastonbury 95. Oasis, Pulp and some others.

Was the first one I'd been to, took so many drugs (which isn't cool, but at that age it's a rite of passage) and was with my first girlfriend. Only saw 9 acts all weekend but was one of those coming of age weekends that makes you.

Reading 95 me and my mates smoked too much weed and missed all the main bands. Reading 96 we didn't and saw The Stone Roses. I really wish we'd done it the other way round.

This is fantastic, always liked live versions of this one. Now I’m over the wall, I’m nearly home!

Apparently Reading this year has turned into a literal riot. It was always a bit spicy
But this year stabbings, pitched battles and bonfires

Actually quite liked their first hit ("Easier said than done") but unfortunately it seemed they released the same song again about a dozen times under different names.

It’s a nightmare but thankfully I’ve been lucky each time including a couple failures in the main sale but successes in the resale.

The amount of people I know who want to go has increased yoy which is reflective of how hard it is to get tickets. This year we had a group of 9, next year we have at least an additional 6 who want to go who have never been before. Not looking forward to sorting the groups of 6 out and the inevitably of at least some of us missing out. Had a first time go this year who I thought would hate it, he actually loved it and started a new group just the other day adding his girlfriend, his brother and another mate none of whom have been before.

As a kindness, I was correcting Shakatak on the spelling mistake in their name.

Although really I should have gone the full way and sent a letter of inquiry as to the nature of the Shak referred to in their name so I could correct their spelling errors more precisely.ie was the Shak referring to a delapidated shed then the name should be ShackAttack.

Festivals abroad are so much better than the UK. Good weather, much cheaper (even including flights etc), and far fewer diickheads looking for a scrap.

Unfortunately Pursey and Sham got infiltrated by the NF\BMP .
Jimmy Pursey was for ALL of the "kids"

I can also remember brawls breaking out at Bad Manners\SLF\Kate Bush
One of the above isn't true . Spotters badge for the 1st person to post which one.

Cockney Rejects were on a whole different level tho ! . Back in the day . One for the teenagers .

I went to loads of SLF gigs then and never saw a scrap, so I’ll say them. Kate Bush gigs were notorious and me and my mates stayed clear. Safer at the Specials or the Ruts.

I saw SLF at Rebellion in Blackpool last month - hadn't seen them since 94 I think, I was very impressed with their headlining show to close the festival. I was also impressed by The Ruts. And The Stranglers (obviously!), Anti-Flag and The Rezillos. I really enjoyed Rebellion, my first time at this annual festival. Four days of having my ears pummelled to death! Great atmosphere, 15,000 (mostly) elderly punks having a great time of it watching every genre of punk / new wave from bands old and new from all over the world. Blackpool police and landlords love it apparently, virtually no trouble despite the heavy drinking. Hospitals full of old punks with hernias through pogoing with far too much energy for their age ;-)

Carter USM, Loop and Ozric Tentacles played the most amazing sets.

It's pretty much now a stabby, druggy rapefest...
