I agree that we are keeping the Udinese loans slot clear with a view to using them either before the end of this window or in the January window. The Pozzos might be thinking that if we need a boost to gain a top two place, this provides it. It certainly feels like we haven't finished our transfer business yet.
Would like to see him up against Joey Barton. Think Barton will be hiding behind the advertising hoardings for the duration.
I'd be very surprised if Belkalem is still a loan by the end of January. He'll be made permanent as soon as he completes his English test.
Didn't he? I thought the Udinese sporting director was talking about where he would go...all very confusing
It will be a surprise if belklehem is still a loan player come 2 weeks time. I think te loan thing is just a formality.
If 'SIR Belkalem' scores.... I'm bricking it, hard as nails!!!!........ wouldn't want to stand in his way.....
Looks like a "try before you buy", is he suited to the English game? can he settle in England? Does he like it at Watford? Answer yes to all 3 he gets a permanant contract if it's a no then he goes back to Spain, we have lost no money, he has the security of a fall back position.
Fingers crossed should be in first team contention by mid September to be paired with Ekkie and Angella. Should allow Manuel to have a few kips in goal.
Summary of GFZ s comments about Belkalem from the Watford Weekend show. •Only had 3 training sessions so far as he has been on international duty •Already GFZ can see the quality he has •Very impressive physically •He ll play in a friendly on Tuesday for further assessment. GFZ evaded Jon Marks question about when we might see him play . Blackpool have now gone very long ball with a big physical team and a long throw in expert. Would be good to get him ready for that game on Aug 31
I agree.....we had some issues with Bournemouth and their long throw expert, especially in the first half. I would expect him to be on the bench against Forest then to make his full debut in the Bournemouth cup match.

This is what I was told by someone high up in the club. This means that the club aren't impressed enough to offer him a permanent contract, he doesn't want to stay, or he hasn't passed his English test yet.
