Not necessarily, Boro were probably the only team that offered £15mil so he had no choice but to go there. He obviously wanted out of Forest and I'm sure he would rather the Prem. However just cause that's what he prefers doesn't mean the club have to accept it. They have to do what's best for them which is accepting the highest offer. Sure he could have kicked up a fuss and refused to go there but all that does is damage he rep for the future. Boro will be pushing for promotion and based on the championship this season, they should get it.

There is no doubt he is a good player and Middlesbrough know he can score goals in the championship, therefore they know exactly what they are getting to do the job they need, with us it's slightly different i.e. Can he score goals in the P.L., at 15 million it is a lot of money to be taking a risk on

Slightly worrying that 15 million gets you someone with no P.L. Experience, makes Troy cheap at 25 million however he won't be going anywhere when his groin is better other than our first team.

 

Just been interviewed by Jim White on his TalkSport show - was questioned why Boro? And he gave the usual answer that they are aiming to get back to the premiership, excited by manager etc etc but he also said clearly they were the only option. So we can discount the fact he chose them over us. More likely paper talk or we (sensibly) stopped short on the fee.

Silva might surprise us by giving Hoban a chance. Depending on what he sees in Austria, Success and Sinclair might have an opportunity to impress. If Success can get superfit and practice his shooting he could be pretty awesome for us. COYHS.
