Not necessarily - it’s just that, in the last game, nornironhorn was a vocal and useful voice for Team Good (albeit helped by the fact that he was the Seer so had more info) and in this game he’s been very quiet. And, yes, the wolves do have a tendency to try to stay under the radar and not draw too much attention to themselves - not the traitor, though.

Right, definitely have to go now

Turns out i do have some signal at this horse rescue. Fire service has yet to arrive so ive got a couple of minutes.

A couple of questions to answer:
    1. Why vote for myself? To be honest I am trusting to those more experienced players in the game. When a player tries to bluff their way out of a situation it invariably fails. I am coming to this decision from a position of innocence.

    2. Who would I vote for and why? My decision to say I would have voted CB earlier was what got me into this mess in the first place. The two players who came flying at me for this were HappyHornet, but first and foremost LowerRous. Now it is still entirely possible that these players are the masons. If they were not the masons I would be voting for lowerrous. I still think Dom has been quiet, and a quiet Dom is always dangerous.

    3. Do i expect to be voted off? No. I hope that some of you see sense, realise i am too experienced a player to be putting myself in such a position lightly. CB made a point earlier that maybe I am a traitor trying to protect someone. Indeed this would be the move of a traitor. But answer the second part of the riddle here? Who would i be trying to protect? I have no real connection to any player other than Moog who has been revealed to be good. Why would I sacrifice myself to protect someone who is not under suspicion? It doesnt add up.

Not accusing, just saying, that to suggest the masons out themselves is more than a little suspicious.

Not true, steve harrow is quiet and 3rd down on my list.

I would also suggest that the masons shouldnt be outting themselves for at least another lynching, the odds are not yet in our favour.

Sadly the only team whose hand this all plays into is evil.

With this many names being thrown around it makes the traitor's job incredibly easy.

You have a Beta wolf who knows the Alpha and a traitor who knows both wolves.

Let's say we have a good player, who hasn't been confirmed good. We'll call him 'Person A'.

If Person A is named in someone's list (amongst 3 or 4 other names) then the traitor and beta wolf will see this. This list tends to come from some flaky logic or even worse, a 'gut feeling'.

It makes sense then that the traitor and/or beta wolf post their own lists including Person A. After all, the traitor knows they aren't evil and the beta knows they aren't a wolf.

As a result, Person A, gets named in a few lists so even naive good players start naming them in their list. Person A then gets lynched (possibly not today, but maybe the following day).

    It really is that simple.

So until each person making their own lists puts forward a good reason (for every player on it), I'd advise you all stop doing it.

In my experience, the most suspicious players are those who post semi-regularly but don't express controversial opinions or point fingers.

Wolves typically don't try and look for reasons why X or Y might be evil. They'll just make general posts on the game and fence-sit when others are taking a side.

Traitors vary a lot, but are most easily spotted through voting patterns.

  8. Ok. Was just a thought. I'm not an expert player so thought it may be a good idea with so many good already down and so many names being thrown about.

Maybe the probability isn't yet in our favour.

You said you had to leave, but now you're back and making a big show of being team good?

You've got my vote now as well.

I think the easiest way for evil players to hide in this game is silence.

If everyone in the game gives their top suspects, it can be more revealing when we later discover an evil player. It is forcing people to give an opinion that they're accountable for.

There are only 3 evil players and 9 non-evil players, so you'd hope the trick names would be drowned out. But you're right, people do need to be sure to not just pick names because they're on other people's lists.

One of Opti or LR could certainly be the traitor.

Just thought I would point out a few genuine numbers to everyone:

    On Day 1:
    I posted 6 times.
    HH24 posted 4 times.

    On Day 2:
    I posted 12 times.
    HH24 posted 13 times.

Today, prior to being accused by HH24 of being evil (therefore taking out posts where I am defending myself against being told I was quiet):
    I posted 12 times.
    HH24 posted 7 times.

Total posts up to the point where HH24 said I was quiet:

    HH24: 24
    Me: 30

So let's stop the 'quiet player' nonsense before it goes too far.

I'd guess one of the players on LR's list of people who suspected me are the traitor. Assuming moog is good, it isn't him.

It's too early for the masons to reveal themselves but would they if there is no guardian?

i think they would if the game got to a certain stage, it could help other villagers decide who to go for. at the moment its too much of a risk as it marks them out as easy prey for wolves.

I don't think the Masons know anything more than the rest of us. I don't remember them playing a major role in any game TBH. I think they're useless to us know, unless they are coordinating something that I'm too dumb to see.

Their only benefit is if one of the masons is being lynched they will try and sway the voting elsewhere.

At this point I'd be happy enough to get lynched as I can't be bothered being accused by people with no logic.

If/When I do die, I'm sure at least the traitor is one of the players who have put me on their logic-filled lists...

  27. miked2006

    miked2006 Premiership Prediction League Proprietor

Moog plays the game like such a traitor, even if he is probably good.

I'm not sure @nornironhorn is evil either. But it would be useful to hear who you are leaning towards at this stage.

  28. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

    Spot on.

My opinion is that the messages have helped us little. I know I'm good and I am 99% certain that the message naming me a such was from the seer, therefore the one naming CB as evil is from the wolf.

We therefore know that everyone the Seer has viewed before me is dead, but everyone the Wolf has named is still alive, but that tells us little. Being named by a wolf doesn't make you good or evil. It's just stirring the pot by the furry fiend.

That's left us floundering in the behaviour of the players. I've looked for players who've been inactive for spells and then come to the game with little to offer, or trying to steer us in directions which I believe to be wrong.

    Placed my vote for Lowerrous.

As mentioned, I think at least one of the players gunning for me is evil. He seems to be one of the front runners and has little to no logic behind it so far.

If he gets lynched and he is good, I'll still be happy enough if I'm being honest as he is just throwing names around for fun.
