Anyone Here Ever Snapped A Tendon?

    I stopped playing way too young in my early thirties. Even then it was at a very low level of junior football. I had put on weight and was finding difficult to get the time to get back to any level of fitness and not being able to keep up and run any distance was too frustrating. I was also picking up regular niggles and injuries due to the lack of proper training, stretching etc. I firmly believe you did the right thing playing on as long as possible and I am sure you have no regrets.

    Continue playing sport for as long as you can . You are a long time retired.
    I still play cricket and the garage is a "gym" i.e. 2 heavy punch bags a bench press
    some free weights and an exercise bike . I stopped football at 37 .
    My advice for those of a vintage age who wish to remain active , I am 58 , patella straps
    and zinc oxide tape are your best friends .
