(This initial brainstorm somewhat relies on people generally conflating the TicklemonsterTM and Mr Tickle, of 'Mr Men' fame/notoriety)
That’s a blast from the past. Wasn’t Mr Tickle the wrongun of the Mr Man community, whereby there would be a health spa and Mr Tickle’s hand could arrive not even accompanied by his main body and begin bothering the clientele?
Oh he looks a little like tricky southpaw tennis sensation Jack Draper. Well his head does. His body is clearly that of Fred Perry.
You're ruining my childhood memories, I liked Mr Tickle and Mr Bounce also. I remember Mr Bounce getting a new pair of shoes to stop him bouncing all around the place. Life was so much easier back then
Blooming youngsters! Trumpton, Bod, Mr Benn and Bagpuss! Loved Bagpuss I love the way threads on here change direction!
I loved Bagpuss! That pink and white striped cat. Wasn't in on a programme called "Time with Mother" or something worded like that? Almost certain it also showed Button Moon and Bill and Ben.
Of course a club of our size cannot expect to be competing in the Championship. But it’s signings like these, that give me confidence that promotion from league 1 is a real possibility in 2026. The futures bright…
Watch with Mother was in the 50's I think!! Bill and Ben before my time as well. Bagpuss was great if slightly odd!
It was good before they ruined it with CGI and god awful voice acting. Should of kept it as the brilliant models and wooden characters. Ringo Starr was a fantastic narrator.
Trap door's a name I havent heard in a while! Fraggle rock wasnt too bad either. Later on I quite enjoyed round the twist. Not really 'childrens' shows, but they had some great series in the 80's that were alot of fun to watch as a kid growing up - A-team, Knight rider, Dukes of Hazard etc Certainly far more originality and creativity in that era then there is now
100% on this - model era is the best. Some of the CGI was ok. I’ve seen it’s some weird, almost kind of anime looking cartoon now?
Everyone to their own, but Daphne was just... swoon levels when I was younger! It's pretty cool the voice actor went on to play Catwoman in the Arkham games too.
You are very right. She was def #1. I was very jealous of Fred, my love rival. I always suspected he fancied her but she was holding out for me to reach puberty.
Amiga Graphics if I remember. Treyguard - legend. That jester was annoying. It took them about a day to shoot each room almost, everything had to be setup so carefully, then the graphics had to model the movements perfectly. That big spider gave me the creeps. "It's only a game.... Isn't it?" Agree. What I would call 'shaky animation' - every frame was animated to an absurd degree then sped up to give it a flashy look. Totally worked in this show mind. Simple and to the point. Pretty adult humour as well. We won't get into the realms of Ren and Stimpy, but I guess it took inspiration from R&C.
Hoping Antonio Tikvic has a peek at the forum to see what the fans think about his signing, only to be met with the last two pages.
True but he might also want to share with everyone his favourite past television programmes from his youth.
Crystal Tips and Alistair was the really freaky one. You needed to be on LSD to create it and a little acid helped to enjoy the show. Every image shimmered in primal colours. It made Bill and Ben seem normal.
