What about his minutes per back heel to the opposition from the edge of the box, or yards ball bounced away from him per miscontrol stats?
I'd like to know: Minutes per scuffed shot Minutes per missing the target Minutes per misplaced pass Minutes per gatherings against government guidelines
There's a very real chance our CBs have better forward stats than him. Cathcart and Kabasele probably more shots on target too!
One in every 257 minutes by my calculation. Ighalo was one every 277 minutes. Deeney one every 274 minutes. Deulofeu one every 309 minutes. Sarr one every 383 minutes. Conclusive proof that Andre is the best. *Manatleaisure likes this post
Glad to see the back of a person so confused they go on racist tirades on Twitter about themselves and calls his girlfriend burned toast with strawberry jam
A free transfer. This has to be the worst signing not only the Pozzo's have ever made, but the club have ever made in it's entire history. Of course Success runs him close, and as a contributor, Success has been a lot worse than Gray, but what mitigates him is that the £13m we wasted stayed within the Pozzo empire. With Gray, it was £18.5 and a weekly haemorrhaging of £70k per week. That's £14.5m in wages, plus whatever sign-on and agent fee we paid. The entire package probably cost the club around £35m. Mind boggling. He did have a few good games. He got winners against Leicester, Everton and Palace in the FA Cup QF. He set up Geri for the winner against Wolves in that semi final. But I'm head scratching to find anything else of major significance........maybe the two goals against Wycombe last season to give us the 3 points. He was trouble off the pitch too, with TWICE ignoring the Covid lockdown rules by hosting parties. As much as I think it's wrong slating Deeney now he's left, it's probably justified in Gray's case.
Disagree. I'm not sure if you've heard but Gino and Scott only ever, ever, ever do good business. NEW POD KLAXON!
I'm not a big fan of his but terminating him sounds quite an extreme way to get him off the wage bill.
I'm hearing that Gino has changed his mind at the last minute. He's worried that with Troy going the fans won't have anyone to connect with, so he's going to keep Andre purely for that purpose.
...plus the £££ we will need to pay him to get him off the payroll to allow him to leave for free....
Deeney, Gray and Success all gone permanently in the same window Didn’t see that coming at all but fair play to the club, long overdue
I hope the club learn some serious lessons from the contracts they handed out to Troy, Andre and Issac, they’re gone, but at a significant financial cost just to get them all off the books. That said, I fear the sums spent on Gray in particular have truly scarred Gino for life, and it means the chances of him ever putting his hand in his pocket for a genuine forward are probably slim to none now.
Was it Shearer who said that he was pleased that we spunked were spending that sort of money on a player because it showed we were serious about staying in the PL?
Yeah, of course hopefully some of the cheap punts will work out, but it does seem like we’ll be forever going down the Welbeck/King and Dennis/Fletcher route from now on, rather then anything remotely considered the finished article.
Welbeck is a frustrating one, I feel he was close to being a good signing for us, if we'd stayed up, and if we'd done the sensible thing and moved on from Deeney, I feel Welbeck could have been good for us last season, he was pretty good for Brighton last season. King I'm not 100% convinced by yet, he's shown flashes but needs support, Dennis has made a good start, and Fletcher is strictly a backup really. All look to be more promising than Gray and Success though!
