Not that sure how true it is because it's only from the football rumours page but apparently he's been seen in Watford. I think this is actually highly possible because I think he's the type of player we need! Could you imagine a 4-3-3 line up with a nice tight knit defence, midfield of Thorne (if his loans extended) Merkel and I think Murray deserves a long term try, Deeney, Ranegie, and Badu up front. Could be the best squad on paper at least in the championship imo!
I used to think the same but he seems to be performing well under sannino. Don't get me wrong, even if he's not in the squad, we have plenty of midfield talent available!
So he is. Still a very good addition if true. He has also been linked with Liverpool so could be very interesting to see the reaction from our ex manager if we signed him instead!!
As Reids says he is more defensive minded and also both Liverpool and Everton have made enquiries - if he is in Watford then i suspect he was changing trains!

This makes me laugh, you've said it could be the best squad on paper and you don't even know where Badu plays let alone what his strengths and weaknesses are. :doh: Hope we don't get this all month.

The rumous about an offer from Liverpool of 7M£ for Badu continue to linger around. If true, it's a good offer and probably good for all (Badu always said he'd like to play in England and he's probably much more suited to English than Italian football as a player). But ... this transfers often can include some exchange of lesser players (as it was for Benatia from Udinese to Roma for 10.5M€ cash + 50% of Verre (1.5M€) + 50% of Nico Lopez (1M€) ). If the rumours are true, it could be a chance to ask in the transfer for some decent English player from Liverpool, young or underrated and NOT on high wages, that could be useful to Watford (also for the home-grown quota). I mean, Badu for, say, 5M£ cash and one or two not very expensive players (total value 2M£) that Udinese could immediately give to Watford, would be almost equally good as cash for Udinese and a useful investment for present/future for WFC too. So, as pure speculation, do you think there could be someone interesting matching the profile among Liverpool youngs or reserves?
Sadly this is an oxymoron nowadays. Anyone who is relatively decent and is English is bound to be on disgusting wages. That being said, I've looked at their squad and there are a few players I wouldn't mind: Tiago Illori (CB who the English FA are trying to get to switch nationality because he was born here), Jordan Ibe (winger), Samed Yesil (forward) or Jerome Sinclair (same as Yesil but two years younger). Obviously one of them isn't English but most of the other people who would be loaned out have been, like Andre Wisdom to Derby County.
