Don't get this signing at all. Centre back that was good in the championship but very average in the Prem! Would be a good signing if we were still a tinpot midtable championship side, but now we are outspending some of the big guns on top European talent!! Hope he's only back for a day visit!
I love mapps but seriously odd signing. Gino seemed to go on a two day bender every year prior to deadline day, scooping up anyone for a laugh. Good for the dressing room but must be our 6th choice centre back if that?!
It's marriappa or young, but I think its mariappa face shape wise, from the photos, all though the number 8 short throws me a bit

Can't see him getting much game time but hey, on a free he's a cheap signing, will give 100% to the cause when he does get on the pitch and will provide decent enough injury cover if things get bad. Would rather him in a back three than Nyom!
Good signing. Obviously not for the first team, but I bet he's very happy to be back up if he's signing on, and where better than at the club that he grew up playing for and even captained? He will be a good influence at the training ground and if he does end up playing, he knows how to play in the Premier League, has pace, and will give his all. I reckon one of the CBs must be off on loan at least. Probably Kabasele but who knows. I'd be surprised if we keep Kaboul, Kabasele, Britos, Cathcart, Prodl AND Mariappa.
Seemed quite highly rated at Palace. Not a key player but a good, cheap, versatile back-up. Plus, I love him. Welcome home.
Knows the area and club. Very good friends with Deeney. Likeable character, good rapport with fans, homegrown, former Watford captain so good leader. Very important for the dressing room, loan out Hoban and let Mapps be the token homegrown bench player. Happy with this!
If we're getting the band back together, surely Tommy Smith is next. Maybe Marlon and Darius if they are both out now.
Really disappointing. Wrong shoes. Bad attitude. Too fat. Not expensive enough. In no way a replacement for Vydra.
