Honestly, Pozzo gon' Pozzo for sure, but I think this really is the thing we have to worry about the absolute least - they still have eyes, and ruthlessness is their middle name until it comes to a player they feel they owe something/has been allowed to become part of the furniture/stitched them up like a kipper good and proper by attracting an insane contract and transfer fee leaving them no option to sell or loan them out.

Lazaar is not one of those people - he is undoubtedly a Marco Motta rather than a Daryl Janmaat.

No, we got FIFA to give them a transfer ban and then Cadiz appealed. Don't think there's been an outcome yet. Funny we've had to officially announce his release. I wonder if we tabled a new contract offer for him just for the bantz?

Good to see that we've officially announced the release of a guy that's already played 11 times for Cadiz this season whilst being contracted to us! Never change Watford.

 

Alas we never got to see the best of him. One would hope.

To be fair I reckon we are all judging him a bit harshly. Was man of the match against Swansea and terrible against Luton. The rest of the time he looked serviceable.

The Luton game must have been unexpected with masina pulling out last minute and so it is understandable if not desirable that he performed like that.

He seemed well liked in camp too. All the best Mr Lazaar.

I have to say, I disagree that he ever looked serviceable, and even against Swansea the commentators were literally highlighting at one point how much he was going missing defensively and ceding the right wing to their attackers- Swansea just embarrassed themselves so much that they A) didn't capitalise on it, and B) allowed him not to actually have to do an enormous amount of defending as a result. It's all moot, now, of course, thankfully.

 

Does this mean we're getting Alcacer back from his loan?

 

No need. We have his position more than covered by Deeney, Gray and Success. He’d be wasted on the bench...needs minutes.

 

Looks like he's on trial at Reading. His agent is a miracle worker.

 

Good luck to him. He could have imploded after his error but he stood up and gave an excellent performance against Swansea. Wore his Watford kit with pride at whatever summer training camp he was at.
