Gamma Ray is my go to pint anywhere I go these days - love a spiced rum and coke once i'm bloated though

Tring Brewery do a great selection, and the Thursday night 'mash up' tour is great fun. £25 which covers the tour, all your beer for the evening and a portion of fish & chips.

A pint of Sidepocket for me, please.

I hope those who have mentioned rum on this thread have tried Diplomatico from Venezuela.

20 cans later... If anything I slept better and feel more refreshed.

G&T for me - generally like a classic tonic but also quite partial to the cucumber Fever Pitch. Also really like a Pimms with lots of fruit in the summer; in the winter, I’m more likely to be found guzzling a good red wine (preferably with cheese).

I'm boring. Lager is all I really have to be honest.

In a pub, I'd always look out for Moretti or Estrella. But to be honest anything other than Carlsberg, Fosters, Carking and Kronenbourg will do me.

Why? They all taste exactly the same.

    Pilsner Urquell > Budvar > Staropramen > Estrella > Stella > Peroni.

Those are pretty much the only six drinks I ever have if I'm out and would choose them in that order. I'd rather go without than drink Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg etc. Never used to care when I was young but now they're all hideous and undrinkable to me. Never really got on with spirits. Do quite like something like a Kopparberg or Rekorderlig when the sun's out.

I really am astonished that anyone can taste the difference between these.

They’re all perfectly fine for the purpose and I am not averse to one in the appropriate circumstances, but if you blindfolded me I am sure I could not tell which was which.

I'd be genuinely amazed if you couldn't taste the difference between the Czech lagers and something like Peroni. Certainly a huge difference from something like Budvar to hideous piss water like Carling.

Wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't tell much difference between the three Czech ones though.

Yeah, fair enough. Czech beer (lager) is nice.

Germans do it well, too. Not easy to get over here (at least, in pubs).

It would be easier to name drinks I don’t like...

I know quite a bit about my red wines and champagnes, especially at the mid-top end, as I have been on a lot of vineyard tours, tasting events and some sommelier qualification courses.

Craft IPAs like verdant or deya (E.g. headband and steady rolling man) are now my choice on tap. Otherwise, I’ll go for a non carling, carlsberg etc lager.

I love an aperol spritz when the sun’s out. Very moreish and refreshing once you’ve adjusted to the taste.

I also love a dark rum, straight, with ice. Kraken is the best you’ll get in most pubs here, or maybe Mount Gay at a push.

Don’t like: gin or real ale

(Caveat: I must admit there are too many flavoured gins now.)

I drunk a litre of gin straight when I was 16.

Can’t even sniff it anymore without feeling nauseous.

Out at the pub I'd have a craft beer, either Brew Dog or Neck Oil.
At home I tend to drink wine, Australian Shiraz mainly.
I'm not really a spirits person, I have some single malts at home, a bottle would last me 9-10 months, the only other spirit that I'm a bit partial to is Havana Club, again a bottle would last several months.

Depends on my mood…after a walk in the winter, a good amber ale and a packet of ready salted go well together- summer tends to be as dry a cider as I can find.

Do like a whiskey indoors, switch between blended and single as the mood, and price, takes me.

I'm a big vodka drinker, not a fan of it neat so often have it with a bit of lemonade (but strong - so I can taste the vodka rather than just diluting it to the point it's like water!). My fiancee got me a bottle of Reyka vodka for my birthday a couple of months ago which is absolutely superb. Koniks Tail is also a great one that's relatively unheard of.

Also love a cider (https://craftynectar.com/collection...y-nectar-rhubarb-cider?variant=12542951489623 - this is my favourite cider i've ever had - a perfect blend between the more fruity ciders and the more traditional ciders, endlessly drinkable) but prefer vodka!

I'm a basic bitch lager drinker. Budvar, Urquell, Moretti, Peroni etc. Some of the Aldi rips off aren't bad either.

Tried a neck oil over the weekend at a pub and didn't really like it, nice glass it came in though.
