We've effectively been playing 2 of the 5 in holding roles and the other 3 of the 5 have added little/nothing going fwd. 3-5-2 with these players is a terrible choice. Must go to 4-3-3, like; Ngakia - Cathcart - Troost - Femenia Hughes - Capoue - Sema Sarr - Gray - Pedro bench to include Wilmot, Garner (first off the rank - I like him), Chalobah, Kabasele, Deeney or Murray Except he won't...because he's stubborn and wants to make a point.
Can't see Sema in a midfield three, I would put Garner there. Replace or rotate with Pedro if you want him included.
Maybe, but he works hard enough to be in a midfield 3, though I do like the look of Garner, and rotation with Pedro further forward is an option.
Never mind a LB lets get a fit bloody striker on the pitch. I'd even start Murray if it meant that Pedro and Sarr could play out wider.
it could be the last chance to play Murray, as i have heard that due to his age and mobility he will be shielding during the lock down.
I see Holebas played in the Champions League against Man City this week. That must have brought back memories for him.
Not using Holebas after lockdown was one of the mistakes Pearson made IMHO. A competitive and experienced player who would be very useful in the squad.
