Started playing Nath off before he even started like he was giving an Oscar acceptance speech. All because the laughing simpleton of a presenter was too busy creaming himself over Brentford.

 

They gave him 30 seconds and even tried to drown him out with the news jingle.

5-Live is the BBC and they’ve always hated Watford, so par for the course.

 

It should have been called the 'TOTTeNhAm and BwEntForD SHOW!11!'

 

Worst time to get me on, after a win, especially when the sh*t bags only give me 8 seconds before they try to cut me off.

 

If I'd shut up when that started I'd have barely had a chance to finish a sentence.

Can someone summarise the 30 seconds, or event better a transcript - won't take long.

I'm sick of hearing about Brentford already. Whilst Bournemouth were "plucky", Brentford's tags are "exciting" and "well run".

 

I said it was good to be back, great atmosphere, played well on the counter attack, manager got it right despite concerns about the team selection initially, then they cut me off and I presume went back to bantz with the Brentford fan for another half hour.

 

I thought it was 45mins Brentford, 30secs you, news program.

Don't forget 0secs Norwich.

And most of the time they were talking to the 'Brentford Fan' they were talking about Tottenham.

 

...and you couldn't even squeeze in the words "...on WFCForums...." between the words "we **INSERT HERE** had concerns about the team selection" ??
The owner would have paid you handsomely I'm sure for a namecheck, more effective that all these piddly little irritating adverts.

Great call this afternoon from a Watford fan who talked about the GT day, Villa fans respecting the GT family and the nurses at half time plus the club being mindful of fans that passed away with the big screen tribute.

Andy Townsends reply:

Well Done Nath. That was good to you to volunteer, and speaking as an ex BBC presenter myself, I thought you came across well in the very limited time they gave you. Top effort!

When we were in the Championship, I used to feel TalkSport and 5 Live were very Premier League biased, but since we got promoted I feel it’s even narrower than that, especially TalkSport. Their remit seems to be mostly the big six. Everything is United this, Liverpool that, and any clubs in the bottom half of the table are an inconsequence. How they’d have loved the European Super League.

Let’s hope that this season we can be a successful inconvenience to them.

Oh gosh, nothing impressive. Just local radio. I wasn’t very good lol. Hope my comment didn’t come across as name-dropping. I only mentioned it in the context of praising somebody else for their contribution to a radio programme, as I know a little bit about what’s involved.

 

I genuinely don't know everyone who's in the premiership and have had to check a few times this week, because the Southampton's and Brighton's get no media coverage at all
