Disappointed that Birmingham is midweek, as usually a good group of us go for a few beers and a curry after. It's still doable for me (I work in the city centre) though, so let's hope I have the bragging rights over my boss the day after.
I’m not sure, this is the Championship we’re talking about, apart from Rotherham and likely Brum and Hull expect any team to be up there.
Not seen it mentioned here but West Brom away could be moved due to a clash with the Commonwealth games taking place in Brum. Their forum mentions a police request to not have any games at the same time as the games.
Bit of a pain being mid week, leaving work early etc. late back home. Loved it to have been a Saturday.
West Brom game now a Monday night . Due to Commonwealth Games and Sky. https://mobile.twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1541783550860591104
Fixture changes : No surprise about the Luton games ! https://mobile.twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1544320225184825344
Just checking which games to go to this season for my once a month Vic visit. What with the world cup, my INSANE (cough) social life, games moved for TV, I think I can only make it to two games before Christmas. I have a feeling this might be a good thing.
More games selected for TV coverage: https://www.watfordfc.com/news/fixtures-broadcast-selections-for-august-confirmed Probably be on TV more this season than last!
Getting our matches in while we are still seen as exciting promotion favourites before we settle into the morass.
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but this link shows you the TV selection release dates. In the same format as the PL dates they are never on time, but the dates will give you a rough idea when announcements should be; https://www.efl.com/clubs-and-competitions/tv-games/
Looks like the Hive live will be back but limited to UK viewers . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/20271491.fans-can-stream-watford-games-coming-season/
Still a bonus from pre-COVID days. Was hoping to get to more games than usual this season, 1 way or another, 5 of the first 7 available on TV anyway.
Think I remember doing this trip before in the Boothroyd era . https://mobile.twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1563167775404634112 Sunday lunchtime in Stoke ( 2nd October ) Ended 0-0! Other changes . Swansea City (H) – Wednesday October 5, 7.45pm KO Millwall (A) – Wednesday October 19, 7.45pm KO Cardiff City (A) – Wednesday November 2, 7.45pm KO Cardiff City (H) – Wednesday April 19, 7.45pm KO
If that was the game I think it was, I was there too. It was freezing cold (of course), Pulis and Boothroyd had taken their vision of Championship teams to the logical conclusion, they slugged it out for 90 minutes and nothing happened. Horrendous!
Clearly we were very lucky to get Sheffield United out of the way with our three star forwards, without them we more than likely would have been stuffed! It was a bad time to play West Brom considering Dennis had probably mentally checked out by then, but we still didn't have much of a midfield, but probably a good time to play Burnley considering we had Choudhury by then and they hadn't quite clicked (not that we have clicked at all this season!). As for the others, we should be beating Brum with that team and had enough chances to do so, played quite well despite a lot of injuries against Preston and with both both Sarr and JP in, yesterday has to go down as a disappointment. I don't really believe in luck tbf, you make your own luck by having good strength in depth, yet in some areas we don't even have a good first choice let alone backup
Reading game re-arranged for 8th November. https://mobile.twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1569340348169601024
