Talk in today’s Gazzetta is that #Pozzo will invest €20m in #Watford, €7.5m to clear debts. Also considering appointment of Gianfranco Zola

I think he needs to check his Maths. The Euro is about 1.24 to the Pound.

He'd better hurry. If the takeover takes 3 more days, €20m won't buy a cup of coffee.

I have 35 euros from my recent trip to Rome to invest, shall I?

Want a place on the board though.

    £16,130,000 + £7,500,000 = £23,630,000

Out of the £16m, if this is true, one wonders how much will be bass's ?

Does that mean 20m IN ADDITION to the purchase price?

I'm not sure that there is a purchase price. What's Watford worth, debt free? Surely not much more than the debt liability. It can't be much in excess of £2-3m tops, regardless of the ridiculous figure of £12m mentioned by some parties.

Wrong way round, GBP>EUR, we know £7.5 million is for the bondholders, not €7.5 millon, so it would be about €14,880,000, most of that would go on infrastructure and the ground me thinks. Lazy Journalism.

WO seemed to suggest they wouldn't be putting millions into the club but enough to ensure the bondholders got their money.

    I exchanged €20m into £ and it came out with £16,130,000 ?

Out of pure guesswork with regard to the bonds i'd say they're not going to pay it off in one go, inherit a similar plan to Bassini. These are businessman, who aren't likely to chuck millions in one fail swoop. There is a lot to consider. Debt, manager, playing staff, behind the scenes staff, transfers, wages, sw corner, east stand, Harfield etc etc.

I think they'll do this properly and slowly. €20m seems ludicrous.

On a side note, those worried about our youth academy and being a feeder club to Udinese ...

Granada CF youth system doing really well this last couple of years. May be some cracking young players coming though, next couple of years.

Think he's a fan/ does a bit of blogging about spanish football so he knows his stuff.

they wont be giving the manager who ever he will be £mills to invest in the team it wont me like qpr or reading or man city what will we have is some very good loan players but it needs to happen fast so they can bed in to the english way of life that is why i think we are going to have a very slow start to the champ

We have still got most of the players from last season, chuck in a couple of loanees as we usually do and i think mid table is achievable again and that will do me.

I heard that it's for player transfers, minus the take over fee. Finishing the stadium will cost more than £20million.

Oh I get ya, I think they mean €20 million including the €7.5 million.
