But QPR have got lots of rich people on board. Formula 1 and steel manufacture make more money than hairdressing or knee surgery.

    We don´t know

Frankly, we don´t have any idea what Bassini is worth. People on this board confuse bankruptcy with being broke. Wealthy businessmen always salt away a fortune so that a trustee in bankruptcy cannot get his hands on it, and often using family members, trusts etc as a front is a way of investing large sums out of reach. In my city days I knew more than one bankrupt that was still wealthy and still doing big deals. One for example was living in a big house in Hampstead, worth millions even then, and another was a hotel owner who had a large hotel in Watford who went bankrupt, but I know had over £20 million in assets in Europe in a family trust. These guys do not see any shame in being a bankrupt, and I am not saying any of it is illegal.

What I am saying is let´s wait and see how much he puts into the club before getting gloomy about losing the best of the playing squad.

After all there is no point in putting any money in, just to let it run down. And since Ashcroft has extended most of his investment for up to five years for very little cash now, you can bet your bottom dollar the Fordwat guys checked Bassini out before they handed over control of the club.

Yeah, but his continued knack for running failed businesses, doesn't bode well for him running Watford, does it? I mean, he might be doing alright, thank you very much, and he might do very well out of Watford, but it may be at the expense of the club and the fans.

He's got the reverse Midas touch, where everything he touches turns to ****.

We the club QPR have no money at all. Yes we have rich owners but the club itself is in a lot of debt.

Takeover and buying..........just shows what a bunch of guillible divs you lot really are, when you get all excited about a bankruptee, a granny Man Utd supporter and God knows who else supposedly 'buying' our club.

Theres more to get excited about our local take away than a takeover. Paul the chippy does a lovely pitta, salad and battered prawns.....mmmmmm........

Man Utd are a classic example of how football clubs have the heart ripped out of them and sold off to anybody who can be bothered and theyre supposed to be the biggest club in the world.

Hornets a Priceless but `worthless` club

When God advises you not to - it would be heresy to sell.

Far better to agitate from inside - otherwise when they de-list from AIM, we won`t know how much debt we have, or who is being sold next:rant:

    Are you on our planet?

Take your 1p. When Bassini excercises the warrants and has over 90% he will delist and your piece of paper will be worthless, and you will certainly have no chance of influencing anything.

Thanks for the financial advice, but you may need the 1p more than me, so understand why I shall decline to take it.

My `valuable` share holding has already been decimated by the last board to the level of a glass of Calisay, so it is worth more to me to continue to watch and monitor the progress of Bassini driving WFC into the financial buffers.

In your previous post you noted the number of businessmen who had been bankrupted - which is true, however not many with wealthy families have signed on as benefit claimants.

Good idea about being on another planet - I sometimes wonder whether in another dimension WFC are interstellar champions (five years running)
