    Too true.
French teams are awash with sponsorship on their shirts and shorts. I quite like the look.

He’s just collecting the balls from all his ‘passes’ last season.

Great, the positive effect of Watford only partnering with obscure bookies is already working then!

A friend of mine has just said the shirt has a "1980s Dad feel".

Yep, the more our hideous kit is covered in adverts the better.

Apart from the cup final season stripes. I loved that I did.

Yes, I thought after last year we would get more technical detailing over simple colour. I thought we might go a bit Jumbo Visma.

Would be a nice kit without the horrific (morally and aesthetically) sponsor.

Hopefully the government step in and take it out of club's hands sooner rather than later as clearly 'the original family club who do things the right way' can't be trusted to act with any responsibility or class.

Seems like the club is really looking to lean into the "Hornets" moniker with the recent kits. Not a bad thing really, it's a nice bit of personal identity and will probably aid their marketing efforts, which is only good for us long term.

The shirt itself isn't bad. The sponsor logo (ethics aside) is a bit off - it's assymetrically arranged versus the stripes and I don't think it looks well integrated. It would have been far better to integrate it into one of the yellow bands with minimal but symmetrical intrusion into the black. If the logo was 80% of the current size and symmetrically arranged I think that would have looked more acceptable.

We can't afford to get kit design wrong these days.

I think that the stakes are too high.

This mock up (not mine) is far less offensive than the size and placement of the actual sponsor. May as well not have bothered putting any detail into the shirt design the way they've just slammed the sponsor on.

I actually quite like it. I think it looks good in the video and yellow socks are always a winner. Better than last seasons horrific design.

I agree the sponsor is ridiculously ******* massive and looks **** though. The sponsor logo itself is OK...ish, but it is stupidly big.

Extra 1 million for a bigger sponsor logo will pay half an Andre Gray contract termination. Should've made it bigger to go all in

Stuart Webber, Norwich’s DoF spoke out today about how he has been left a little hamstrung in the transfer market by the fact their betting company deal got ranked by fans. Interesting to see.

From Foster’s latest vlog. Watford wore the new kits in the Millwall training ground friendly.

Exactly. Some people will like the design and some will hate it. The moaning won't change it, it's done, it's over.

Some people will wish for a different sponsor and some won't care. The only productive thing is for people to write to the club, ideally in a rational tone rather than "this is SHOCKING! GT would ROLL in his GRAVE!", and tell the club that you wish they'd gone with a non-gambling sponsor that represents the values of the club, and that you recognise this has financial implications, and it will affect your willingness to purchase the shirt.

I bet max 20 people would actually do so. Easier to just complain on Twitter.

And I bet not many people buy the shirt without the logo, which Leventhal's story says will be possible upon request.

If the stripey things went all the way around it would be half decent, as it is it's utterly sh*t.

If I buy it I will request it without the logo!

ISTR that it's a PL requirement for a 'plain' back of shirts?

I like it apart from the sponsor plastered in a ridiculously large font across it. Will we be able to buy shirts without that sponsor on it ? Has an inkling of the current Ecuador kit. Perhaps we are trying to tempt Pervis back. ;)

It is noticeable across several sports how more and more of the kit is being covered in sponsors names. Currently there is a furore in the NHL from fans worried their teams will end up looking like European hockey sides. And the same applies to rugby union. It's horrible. Ditto the NBA.

No sign of Hughes although that could be explained by the searing temperatures.

The one thing I don't get is, after the QPR kit man managed to accidentally chuck a super-strength double-concentrate yellow sock in with their shirts, why did we agree to help him cover his arse by buying them off him?!

The jersey is ********* and uninspiring
If the yellow is replaced with red for an away kit, then it may get a pass mark only if we stay up and get rid of both grey and success prior to kick off

No offence, but see, this is why crypto seems weird and cultish - why is it excellent, or indeed any, news of any kind in particular, just because you happen to own some cryptocurrency yourself? What possible positive effect does us being sponsored by a company involved with it have on you?

    It is.
If the hoops go all the way round, you would need to have a square block of one colour in order to put a number on it.
A circular block of one colour is not allowed. Though l am not completely sure of this.
