He didn't do anything great or bad. Got stuck in. Not helped that despite being 2-0 up at home to the bottom side we weren't in as much control of the game as you'd think, so he was feeding on scraps a bit. Got away from his man once with a Sema-like charge up the left wing but massively overcooked his cross and it beat Perica for pace.
Controlled the ball well and didn't treat it like a bomb. Showed good pace as well. Basically the complete opposite of Sema's performance.
Lost the ball once. Chased the ball a bit. But made some nice passes down the left touchline with Sarr and then showed an extra gear to get a yard on the right back and swung a pacy cross across the six yard line. Had both centre back and goalkeeper beaten with Perica coming in on the blindside. Stipe lacks match sharpness and fitness but still like Gray for a Sarr cutback in the first half needed to anticipate better. Should have busted a gut to get into the box and/or thrown himself at the ball. Any decent connection and it is a goal. Decent cameo.
Yeah I thought he did pretty well the lad. There's a lot of competition on that left wing with Ken & Phil, but I hope he gets another longer run out later in the season.
I must say I wasn't impressed with him against Newport, but then again nobody really impressed then lol. He's shown flashes of ability since then, given Sema is blowing out of his arse, I'd like to see Xisco put faith in him and play him from the start
Another excellent performance. Showed pace and got the cross in which should have been anticipated. Won a corner with his persistence and skinned their left back for fun. It is always great to see a youngster seize their chance. Needs to keep working hard and making a case for himself but did not look out of place despite it being only a few minutes. Very pleased with him. Long may it continue.
Great little cameo, a dangerous ball in that may have ended up in the back of the net had Sarr not been flogged all game every game, and a great bit of play at the end to keep the ball up their end. I mentioned it almost as a throwaway comment, but after that performance, I'd definitely like to see him start against Cardiff
It was an impressive display from him. He is very small, but some of the greatest players that ever played were short. There is a dilemma now. Is he ready to start on the left? If he has a nervy first 15 minutes, do you take him off and potentially damage his confidence? Or do you give him some more chances towards the end of games to build up his belief, before giving him a start. Injuries could fast track him also. For the time being, I would bring him on. Very upbeat about his potential though. But remember Rod Thomas.
Before my time was Rod Thomas, so no, I do not! I don't suggest making Hungbo a first team regular off the basis of (an admittedly bright) couple of cameos), but Sema is in need of a rest, I'd like to see Hungbo being given a whirl from the start to give Sema a breather
That's not difficult. Poor Ken tried more stepovers today but left the ball behind, which is better than unintentionally kicking it out of play I guess.
Had a few good pieces of play which created a chance or won us a corner, but he's unsurprisingly tired after playing at full pelt all the time
Great cameo again, pleased for him and us. No need to rush him because there is definitely a player in there. Direct and puts in a decent delivery.
Looks like he could be excellent for us, but I hope we've protected ourselves with his contract. I understand he only signed a one year extended contract in the summer. So he's out of contract at the end of the season.
He sounded very level headed in his interview and knows he's in a privileged position. If he gets more minutes and shows again what he's about I have no doubt he will sign an extension.
Think Xisco is using him perfectly to be honest, bringing him in slowly and letting him gain confidence. Calls for him to start are premature in my opinion. I like that he's very positive with the ball but he's clearly also got the message that he needs to contribute off it, he was closing players down and challenging for headers.
Yeah I get this tbf. Would like to see him make a start or two at some point in the near future though, he's fresh whereas a lot of players have a lot of miles on the clock this season
I don't see him starting a game this season, gradually longer cameos are what he needs right now, 10,15 ,20 minutes maybe at the end of games.
Can see him chipping in with a few assists by the end of the season. He's a good player to have running at tired legs.
Talk with Joseph. Nice to see Richard Johnson involved. A fine example for any young player to learn from the lessons of hard work and practice.
Likewise. He has looked really good in his cameo appearances so far and we seem to be using him in a sensible way. Looking forward to seeing more of him.
