I get the philosophy stop conceding goals but Quique needs to find a way to start scoring goals, I am fine with sitting back and being defensive as long as we pounce and go forward immediately on the counter attack instead of just passing backwards and sideways and allowing the opposition to get back in shape before passing it back to Foster to boot it long. Against Arsenal some of the break aways were the best I have seen from us but we have been poor on the counter attack since. If Quique can't sort it out and he fails to beat Norwich he needs to go because there is no way we will be staying up with him in charge, players are unconfident and its patent to see that self-confidence is impacting performances, The manager has even spoken about this repeteadly in press confrences and interview but surely it's Quique's job to restore the confidence and give the players some self belief, if he can't do it then The Pozzo family need to find someone that can.

Let's be honest he should of never come back. He was found out to be very one dimensional last time out. We got lucky that our two strikers hit a golden run together.

As a Norwich lad, I have to say there is no right end. As I'm a Watford season ticket holder and go to few Norwich matches these days, I want Watford to win unless Norwich need the points more, but on Friday I shall be at Carrow Road for the Premier League Relegation Trophy and it will be agony.

He's never known how to score goals. His tactics are hardly revolutionary. Sit back and keep a tight defensive shape. Many managers can do it. They don't, because it makes it very difficult to score goals.

Unless you have a world class player (or a player on world class form like Ighalo) who can win you games on their own, or are amazing at set pieces, you're going to struggle. As we saw when Ighalo lost his magic touch and we absolutely imploded.

Allardyce is 20x the manager that Quique is, and I'm not even sure the former is good enough to save us.

Hold on. You’re a Watford season ticket holder but if we were mid-table at the moment you would want Norwich to win on Friday?!

You keep mentioning Sheff Utd as being the most winnable and we should have attacked them but they are doing very well at the moment and are unbeaten away from home.
Bournemouth performance was ok and I just thought Chelsea were very good. I do tend to agree that if we lose Friday he’s gone

You don’t play an open game at City and Wolves but then go ultra defensive at home to Sheffield Utd. That’s just nuts and he’s left himself open to a lot of criticism for doing that.

I’ve said this before, City was his second game in charge and he was still working out the best way of doing things. Maybe Wolves he could have done it. It is what is now but whatever he’s done we are not so open

But he's made a real pigs ear of it as far as I can see. You don't have to be an astute coach to know how City play. If you're going to play 5 at the back, then that was the game to do it in. After shipping in 8 goals (and getting off lightly) you'd have thought the penny would have dropped, but nope, he played the same formation at Wolves.

Then Sheffield United at home, a game we should clearly be looking to win against a newly promoted side, he goes into his shell and plays 5 at the back plus a DMF. It was ludicrous if you ask me, and we got what we deserved from those three games.

You play a defensive formation when you play tough away fixtures, but you HAVE TO be more expansive at home, especially against teams you would expect to beat. If we cannot consider Sheffield United at home is a team we can beat then we don't deserve to be in the Premier League on attitude alone.

The Sheff Utd game seems to really stick in the craw of some people. It was certainly a sound defensive performance, but lets not forget we had three absolutely golden opportunities to score so it wasn't just about defending.

It's the absurdity of his thinking that gets to me. Go to City with a 5 man defensive for sure......keep the score respectable. Go to Wovles and grind out a 0-0, sure....then have a bit of a go at home to Sheffield United. But to do that exact opposite was just ridiculous.....IMO.

This is true. Thanks for the reminder that we are cack at both ends of the pitch (and currently depleted in the middle).

Let's also not forget that Sheffield United are unbeaten away this season and have recently beaten Arsenal and Burnley whilst maintaining clean sheets - they're certainly no mugs. I genuinely think we'd of lost if we had done anything different considering how piss poor we are. I mentioned it before, but after the Sheffield United game some of ours fans became the fans they so often moaned about during our first couple of seasons in the PL.

This formation is screaming out for Deeney, all based on having someone upfront who can hold up the ball and bring others into play. Hope Troy is up for it and can get back to where he was when he partnered Iggy.

Being an expert in cackosity does that make you a cacktitioner?

Also if you're a cack cacktitioner does that make you a better cacktitioner or a worse cacktitioner? I think we need a cack index.

We could call it the Flores scale. It could be measured in QSFs.

Like most of our half arsed players, the longer they are injured, the better they become.

Gareth Williams was going to be Messi and Ronaldo rolled into one.

Yes but we didn't create two of those chances, they were through Sheff Utd mistakes.

Pereyra squaring for Gray, Welbeck pinching a ball and going through one on one and a Dawson header from a free kick. You could argue every chance ever created is borne out of a defensive error.

Chelsea didn't create a chance against us on Saturday, the two goals we conceded were both down to defensive mistakes...

When I went to the UEA I supported Naarch in a half-arsed sort of way. Saw a few matches. And when I lived in the Granite City for four years I supported the Dons in a half-arsed sort of way. Saw a few matches. And when I lived in the 'Athens of the North' for a long time I supported the Jambos in a half-arsed sort of way. Saw a few matches. Including a memorable 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in a Euro something or other. However, I switched allegiance to the Hibees on account of my Missus (a Hibee) getting an unacceptably hard time from the majority of my mates who were also Jambos. They didn't understand how I could do that. Like supporting the Scummers for a change. Quite easy when you're 'half-arsed' though.

Anyway, I only remember one head-to-head in all that time. A Jambos v WFC friendly. Guess where my allegiances lay there? U 'Orns.

So I reckon if you can play around with your allegiance depending on circumstance then you might just be a bit half-arsed and plastic in the first place.

A misplaced pass and miscommunication in the Sheff Utd defence led to the first chance. Welbeck should have been stopped on the halfway line for his chance but it was a half-hearted tackle. They aren't chances that we've created. I can't remember one sequence of passing or build up play that resulted in a shot that game.

The Sheff Utd game was a flat defensive display and Quique said afterwards he was happy with what we created. Which in reality was Dawson's header right at the end from a good free kick. A new coach looking to keep his side up should have had the team going for the throat against a newly promoted side at home. I don't think Quique has it in him though.

In fact he doesn't seem to have any interest in attacking at all. Can anyone remember an attacking substitution he's made since he's been here? I know he hasn't always had the options but in terms of team shape? Replacing Janmaat at 2-0 down on Saturday honestly seems like a big two fingers up at the club, are we sure he's not trying to get back at Gino??
