Welcome. Reports each pre-season of a player putting on weight? Hmmn. Well ok, I guess it’s something new we’ll just have to get used to.
So not only did we get Palace’s number one midfield target, we’re making them buy our 5th best CM for £10mil. #foreverinourshadow #palacearetrulytinpot
Hello, Fenerbahce fan here. Joined the forum to give you a bit of my thoughts on Ozan having watched him for many years. Hope you enjoy He can contribute to both phases of the game, he is strong and his pace is alright. He can dribble the ball past 3-4 players in transition and create dangerous chances in counter attacks by carrying the ball from one end of the pitch to the other very quickly. He really improved his long shooting and it is a real weapon at this point. At his best, he is a great box to box player and an engine in the midfield. He is strong and can win both aerial and ground duels, can both press high or sit back and defend. Having watched both Kucka and Etebo in the Super League, I can guarantee you he is a much better player than both those two and Cleverley when he is at his best and he will win a spot in the starting XI if he rounds into form. Another positive thing about him is that while he is 26, he has 60+ caps for the Turkish national team, has played in the Europa League quite a bit so he has experience against high level competition. The thing about him that prevented him from reaching the £20-25M price tag that was always talked about is his inconsistency and his mentality. He is an emotional player and his mood really affects his performance. His performances in season can fluctuate multiple times which can get frustrating. He also has issues with his body, can get easily overweight but I doubt that will be a problem in the EPL. While is not a bad passer by any means, don’t expect him to play game breaking through balls or too passes with much creativity. I think this is a good move for Watford, at worst a solid depth piece, at best finds his form and takes one of the spots in the midfield. PS- his form and shape isn’t the best right now so I’d give it a month or so before starting to judge him. Edit: ooh I see that I am already famous here with my post in the subreddit , let me know of you have any questions
He is more active in the offensive and transition parts of the game than Yokuslu and plays with higher tempo
Thank you for your insight. I have seen a lot of Fenerbahce fans state that you need to sign a striker. Since your club has allowed us to sign Tufan, it’s only right we return the favour by offering you the chance to sign one of our strikers. You have two very good options in Gray or Success. Both would thrive at Fenerbahce and help you win the league. Lots of big clubs are circling around them, so hopefully your board acts quick to take at least one of them. Here is a small sample size of what they can do. Gray scores the first goal with a quality instinctive strikers finish, and Success follows it up with a goal that would make Tufan jealous. These goals were against a quality opponent that was fighting for the title majority of the season. They had everything to play for in this game.
So basically he's a classic Xisco player. Inconsistent, sometimes needs an arm around his shoulder, but real quality.
Welcome. Fortunately, following Brexit, food is in short supply here, so his weight will stay down as he fights strangers in the supermarket for the last pack of biscuits.
With a subtle 'Here we go...' comment. A nod to Romano talking the truth over Lyanco? (I admit I'm reaching. I just desperately want a good CB)
I'm not having it that Tufan is a holding midfielder, get the guy forward and let him unleash a few thunderbastards at the goal.
I assumed it was in relation to Romano’s tweet about Tufan last night. Has he weighed-in on the Lyanco rumours as well?
It's hard to get a handle on how good this guy is. It ranges from he'll be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League to a Turkish kebab shopkeeper.......but I'll go with the former, and if it's the later then at least he'll be useful after the evening games.
Good luck trying to sort the seating plan out on Gino’s private jet with this bloke, Troy, Danny Rose and Dennis to try and accommodate.
The club have certainly bigged him up on the announcement but I will admit that I don't know much about him. Given that Hughes is out of the door and Kucka is injured we definitely need more depth in midfield.
With Kucka being out injured we really need this guy to be fit for the weekend; hope the talk of him being overweight in pre-season is incorrect, or he's managed to get back up to speed already.
