In more Hey! Teacher! Leave them kids alone! news, the Government is encouraging all school children to sing this tune on Friday for a day that has been named ‘One Britain, one nation’ day by almost no one.

The song ends with the lines Strong Britain, Great Nation repeated four times. Where was the consultation I’m sure @zztop will not wail.

    More on that story here.

I see it's Britain and not the UK. Preparing for NI leaving the union I wonder?

What I find weird is that you've posted 14 times on this thread, (up to this point), telling people off for having an opinion. Are you head person there?

Surely you can see that there are two people in that conversation? (15).

Most of it I’ve been discussing the issues. Sorry it does get rather tedious with ZZ. Take it up with him. I would. :)

It's a lovely song and I'm sure the day will soon come when all patriots will sing it joyfully as the Dear Leader inspects the troops at a party rally.

What is funny is that the only people that seem outraged on here are those who want to defend the actions taken by an elitist private school and parents of the children and staff at the school. Suggestions that parents can just vote with their cash is just silly when the children are in the middle of their education and not many parents would want to just take their kids out like that.

And the suggestion above that what the nation's children are being taught at school is no one else's business is but theirs and the schools, is plainly ridiculous.

But outrage with the schools decision? Not me. I am just questioning the decision, and laughed at the lengths the woke brigade go and expected the insults I would get thrown back at me. But that is the way, these days. If there is any questioning of such decisions, then personal attacks are launched, with the usual bile. It seems impossible to discuss the issues, and that is what the woke brigade want.

If I get "outraged" it is usually at the lengths some people go to to try and suppress and stifle debate with personal attacks and nastiness, not the actual issue itself.

Thread closed as it has become derailed into a politics thread (along with the usual crap that brings).
