I'd love to see Milton Jones live, I think he is the best on the circuit at the moment.

Don't confuse her numerous appearances on panel shows and her work as a comic her stand-up is very different (and good): she's a very smart and quick comic.

Similar to Gina Yashere - her entire UK stand-up career was pretty much 'destroyed' by her over- exposure on the 'panel-go-round' she was a really good stand-up and has made it big on us the US def-jam circuit.

Yeah Sara Pascoe's stand up is really good. That travel show she did was awful though - really not the right person to do it and came across as rude to the people she met.

Yes she’s clever no doubt. Not the same as funny though, for me at least.

As an aside, I watched the doc about Micky Flanagan the other day and some of the footage of his early stand up is utterly terrible to the point it’s toe curlingly, awfully bad. Obviously some people are just naturally hilarious people, but for a lot of stand up comedians, their stand up shows you end up seeing are the ultimate example of delayed gratification, it might have taken them decades to perfect that show to the point it’s actually funny and watchable.

Bill Bailey was '2nd banana' in a very political/current affairs double act called the "Rubber Bishops" (very, very 'marmitey') for 'years' before he broke out:

That is a great line-up. I've seen Rob Beckett, Josh Widdecombe, Milton Jones, Ed Gamble and Reg D Hunter before (the majority in Potters Bar, weirdly) and all were great.

As others have said, I went to see Milton Jones and my body hurt afterwards from laughing so much. I also went with my mum and it was nice for it to be completely PG and not have to cringe in parts!

I saw Reginald at a weird event in Southwark. There were about 15 of us in the audience and he was just reeling out gag after gag to test ahead of Edinburgh, noting which ones landed and which weren't quite right or were just dead.

He was supported by a sketch act called Two Episodes of MASH, who were a pre-fame Joe Wilkinson and some woman. They were not funny.

I actually saw Reginald at the Alban Arena. It was one of the first comedy gigs I ever went to. I can't remember why, but he started talking to a very elderly lady about staring at her Vagina in a mirror. It was very funny, but also incredibly uncomfortable.
