Shamelessley nicked from the 'fishal boards. SAF is upset that Rossi isn't getting any games and may want him farmed out elsewhere at Xmas. Wothy of a punt here? He have a good relationship with ManUre.
Would be a good get... manure would prolly have to help with the wages though. namely we only pay a percentage of his wage.
The big rumour is involving Ashley Young with Manure having first refusal if we sell him. In return in January we get Phil Bardsley to replace Doylee, Richardson to replace Francis and Rossi to cover Marlon King. All on a season loan.
Rossi would be a good addition, but I think we could do with a more out-and-out striker. Rossi is generally more affective when he plays behind the front 1/2 - in our case, who would be the lone striker in front of him? He is, however, an undoubted talent.
Thats what i was thinking... not allowed more than a set number of loanees from any one given club in one season.. i believe 2 is the number but could be mistaken on the exact figure.
Latest on GR: Comments from Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson regarding on-loan striker Giuseppe Rossi: "Giuseppe will come back to us because he is just not getting enough football at Newcastle. "The understanding we had with them was that he would play more games. "Every manager is subject to their own opinions on players, so I don't want to say too much about that. But we could have done with him here, so he might as well come back to us." Since moving to Tyneside at the end of August, Rossi has made four starts and four sub appearances totaling 417 minutes, scoring once. During that time NUFC have played 13 games that he was eligible to appear in.
If he was to come here then he would be our 1st choice striker, so i think there is a chance that we may get him for a bit
Rossi's shown flashes of class in his time at Newcastle, however, the fact we've had our 4 top strikers out, yet Rossi has still been kept out of the team tells you everything! Sibierski has been a much better coup I'm afraid!
I think we are in with a shout for a loan if Aidy works his magic and wants him. I'd still like to see a permananet move for another striker if a loan deal works out.
I don't think that Rossi will fit in to our team to be honest. Considering our long ball style we need someone tall, strong and quick. Rossi, like Macca, will need lots of good balls into feet or through the middle, which we won't be able to do. We already have too many fairly lightweight players who can play in similar positions anyway in Smith, Young and Priskin.
