Blimey, didn’t take long! Got the Javi treatment.

Statement suggests it’s more about him complaining about lack of transfer activity rather than results though.

I look at that side and see zero PL level players.

    Parker had a point.

Yes it seems his sacking relates to his frustration about their transfer business or lack of it. Can hardly blame the guy after beating AV and losing to Arsenal, Man C and Liverpool !!!

The thing is though, he spent very heavily in January, and from what I could understand reading different football forums, twitter, etc, the board believed that those signings were not only for the promotion run, but also for the PL. They then added 4-5 new players and thought it was enough.

He's also a very poor coach imo.

Get him in as head of recruitment. Clearly understands the need to have the right level of player for the league you are in .

A fallen out with the owners twice now for speaking out and peaking his mind

    Exactly what we need

Seems harsh whatever way you want to look at it, the boards comments make it seem as if Parker had complained about lack of money, which would be valid as they've hardly signed many players this summer. If you want to look at results then it's also harsh, they've played 4, won 1 and lost 3 - the defeats coming against Arsenal, City and Liverpool - would they have sacked him if they lost 2-0 to Liverpool rather than 9?

He got pretty decent players when he was at Fulham and still got relegated. Having watched quite a lot of his games when he was at Fulham, I hope he never comes near this club in any capacity. Overrated as a player, and even more so as a manager.
True, but Xisco had a better start than him and we sacked him (not saying we shouldn't have sacked him) . Aston Villa is horrible this season(I only looked at highlights if I'm being honest) and look like relegation candidates unless they sack Gerrard. Liverpool had 2 points from first 3 games (Fulham, Palace and a United side that had 0 points when they played them), yet they conceded 9.
I'm not saying it's completely fair, but this sacking makes much more sense than a lot of our sackings.

They beat Villa and then fell apart - they're the new Watford. Everything that's wrong with football!

But there has to be respect. Looking at Parker’s comments over the last couple of days, he’s gone public with his frustrations over lack of transfer activity, so you can imagine what he’s been saying behind the scenes.

I look at Bournemouth and again question why our owners are still here? That statement about running the club sustainably, while teams like Forest are coming up spending over £150m in one window, could just as easily be coming from us next season. When the Pozzos did their due diligence on us, the PL was made up of teams like West Brom, Stoke, Bolton, Wigan, Blackpool, Blackburn etc etc. Yes, some wealthy owners among that lot, but their squads weren’t anything special and you could see how integrating Serie A players into us could see us (potentially) competing in the top half of the PL - like some of those above were in 2011. Jump forward a decade, losing money, buying average players not adequate for the top flight, with the best you can hope for is a more wealthy club to have a shocking season and finish 17th, is it really worth it anymore?

You've got to love all the armchair fans comments on sites like the BBC and Facebook.

Same as we always get when we sack a manager from people who support man United or Liverpool from their armchairs and think they're experts at what's going on when they have no idea what the circumstances are.

Same as when we sacked Munoz after the Leeds game, the entitled Leeds fans were up in arms that we dare to sack a manager after losing to the mighty Leeds who eventually avoided relegation themselves by the skin of their teeth.

QFS lived through a 8-0 battering at City - the football after that was terrible with only one win and he lasted till Southampton. I do think Parker has a right to complain though, it is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. Speaking of Southampton, they have lost 9-0 twice in the last four seasons and still have Ralph at the helm. If that was us in Muff's posititon, you could say Edwards would get a few more games to turn it around.

Edwards would get the same treatment as Parker has if he came out to criticise the Pozzos which is why he won’t..

Even if in private he isn’t happy .

Simple reason. Mark McAdam (Sky Sports reporter) presented the report on Sky Sports News about Parker's dismissal. He was brought up in Boscombe, is a Bournemouth supporter and has worked for the club in the past.

    https://www.dorset.live/sport/football/football-news/minibus-crashes-covering-kitman-eddie-5890727

Perhaps Watford may get more favourable coverage if Emma Saunders continues her meteoric rise at Sky Sports.

It was a different panel. Mak McAdam wasn't in when the story broke. He was been called in because he's the Bournemouth expert, and he's continuing the story now. But initially, when the story broke, it was the general tone of sympathy from SSN, without Mark McAdam.

Premier League club seeks immediately available, enthusiastic coach who will work for peanuts and not complain about the upper Championship quality squad he/she/they will be working with. Some Premier League experience would be ideal, but not essential

    Welcome back to England Xisco

I was not watching SSN when the news of Parker's dismissal was announced, but I think that McAdam may have been part of the panel of Good Morning Transfers (9.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m.). A clip from that programme (in which he was giving various reasons to justify Parker's dismissal) appeared to be shown during the Football Show (10.00 a.m. - 11.00 a.m.) on SSN and I assumed - incorrectly - that was to what you were referring. Apologies for my error.

The second season in a row that a newly promoted side kicked off with a home win against Villa only to sack their manager a few games later.

I have much sympathy with Boscombe's board. After all, his attempts to signal that he required 3 new signings was a little less than subtle wasn't it?
    upload_2022-8-30_12-45-26.jpeg

But no need for the Board to be too smug today. He's already found a new job chaufeurring Amanda Staveley around in her lovely new pink Roller picked up earlier from a Jeddah showroom.
Perhaps he'll take some sweet revenge on them later, egged on by his new boss. "Home Parker".

The big question is, will Parker be our second or third head coach of this season? It's so tough to second guess Pozzo these days.

Seems Everton are still continually hellbent on spending a lot of money to make themselves a relegation candidate.

It must be so boring supporting Man City. Winning every week - where's the excitement in it all? You hardly lose, none of the matches are even (some are but very rarely) and your managed by Smudger's arch nemesis.

Winning is addictive, the more you do it,the more you want to continue.
    I expect they love it.
In ten years time there will be a plethora of phone in programmes with Home Counties accents, just like Man Utd and Liverpool.

Still managed to NOT score the one time I captained him for Fantasy football!

They’ll have title wrapped up by March .

Everyone else already dropping points and Arsenal won’t beat MC when they play each other .
