    Everton look as if they may struggle again in the Premier League this season. They no longer have Richarlison to save them from relegation and they were beaten 4-0 in a preseason friendly by Minnesota Utd. (in 4th place in the MLS Western Conference).

    Everton manager Frank Lampard says it is "pretty clear" that they will try to bring in a striker in the next month.
    He said: "We obviously lost Richarlison. He was versatile across the front as well. We're very aware of the areas that we want to strengthen.
    "Going into the first game with Salomon [Rondon] suspended as well makes it pretty clear that that might be one of the areas we look at."
    Richarlison left for Spurs, Calvert-Lewin is unavailable due to injury and Salomon Rondon is suspended.

    Was this genius once being touted as the next big thing? No wonder Chelsea ditched him for Tuchel. If Dennis happens to be reading this, just avoid this Mersey mess please! I doubt Frank would even be able to organise a designated seat for you on the Toffees coach.

    He was moaning before the match that they were struggling with injuries. As far as I'm aware, they had Keita, Tsimikas and Jota out, none of whom are necessarily part of the starting 11, and their only change from the team that beat City was getting Allison back. They've also had a 70m player on the bench.

    Whilst Fulham have their second best player out.

    Worst moaner in the league Klopp getting his comeuppance, with an excellent result for Fulham.

    I don't know why, but it always feels so nice when Manure lose. Opening match a ten thousand red devil plastics start crying into their Monday morning coffee. Credit to Brighton, what Potter is doing there is really good and it wasn't all that long ago they were dossing around the bowls of League One. As much as they tend to beat us now every time - I still have to admire how they have become the dominant side on the South Coast. But, this is not going to be about them - it's all Manure... so let's enjoy that.
