It’s worth remembering when Rousey Boy forms an opinion about a player (or anything for that matter) it absolutely will not be changed, regardless of the overwhelming weight of evidence almost crushing him to death, so it’s not even worth bothering to waste your time debating it because you’ll just lose hours of your life and not get anywhere. Never forget this is the person who said this about a player who scored some brilliant goals in the PL and we just sold to the MLS for $10m and who has already broken records, and one who crashed and burned there and was returned early without barely playing, all because he nailed his colours to the mast about Cucho from day one and can’t bare to admit he was wrong:

We really take the fun out of signing players. Every Watford fan knows it's already done, all we have left to look forward to is the Leventhal thumb. Although the club did surprise us with Ben Hamer, what a treat.
He should fire whichever agent only managed to get someone the wrong side of 30 a measly 2 year deal from Watford
We only give 2 year deals when we sign real bloaters so maybe he has turned up looking like Danny "Tubbs" Rose ?
He’s still a sprightly 31 year old. We’ll offer him a new and improved 5 year deal at the end of this season when his legs have gone completely
All depends on that official signing shirt. Danny clearly did a boxers make the weight crash to pass the medical then went straight to Greggs for the rest of the day before the photo shoot.
Got to be honest I am pretty chuffed with this signing. If he has the same kind of impact that cassetti had with this squad then it could be one of the best signings we made in years.
Seconded. I suspect he’s going to show a few of our lads how you can keep your standards high regardless of age - just have to adapt your game. Thoroughly expect him to be a fan-favourite pretty quickly.
Gaspar is basically the same age as Kiko too (two and a half months older). I don’t know about others but I’ve never particularly thought of Kiko as an old player even if he is the wrong side of 30.
Adam Leventhal confirmed during his 'Q&A on Rob Edwards press conference' on Twitter Space that he believes that Watford are still looking to sign a HG right-wing back as well as Gaspar. The interest in loaning Ethan Laird from Manchester Utd., which was reported by Laurie Whitwell (Leventhal's Athletic colleague), is only one of the possibilities which are being considered.
I particularly enjoyed the guy proclaiming that Edwards was more involved than any previous head coach in the transfer business, and that fans should stop moaning about Pozzo/Giaretta not considering Rob’s needs. The same speaker also declared “I’m not pronouncing it ‘Man-aye’, I think ‘Man-aj’ sounds better. Well I think pronouncing your name ‘tw-at’ sounds better.
