Joronen is getting linked to us again. Interesting to see he was at Fulham at a very early age before returning to Finland, played in Denmark for FC Copenhagen. He's massive 6-6 and 27 yrs old.

No point on wasting £6+M on a gk.
This season we find out how viable Bachmann is and next Pontus has to be 1 or 2.

I’m all for Bachmann after hearing his shouting. If we were to get this fella I would accept it would be to call time on a Prem bound Fozzie.

    But we won’t.

Hasn’t this been debunked as nonsense as it came from the guy who said we had sold Penaranda to Turkey?

Possibly ? At that height it surely would have been with hydroponics though ?

What’s the EFL ruling on that ?

Budget option, but would be a pretty impressive autumn statement of intent.

Sounds like he belongs on daytime TV as some sort of detective. Name gives of a Midsummer Murders kind of vibe.

    Actually wouldn’t mind him.

Massive unit, good in the air. Pass acc of 86% last season. Would be a solid option to aim for from set pieces.

Back three of Dawson, Chancellor, Wilmot.

Good enough for the championship for sure.

Still would like a left footed CB though.

The article that that article is based on also mentions our alleged interest in Brescia Goalkeeper Jesse Jorenen who would be available for €8m supposedly. We’ve been linked previously too. Good keeper. Supposedly Cellino (Brescia’s owner formally the owner of Leeds too) has been in the U.K. to meet with us. I would imagine from that article that were scoping out a number of Brescia players for any who may be available at the right price. They too have just been relegated. Andrea Cistana is a 23yo CB we’ve been linked with previously. I wonder if we’re still interested in him. Highly rated but alas not left-footed either.

Something very odd about this story. The origin of it appears to be the same article which actually linked Watford to the GK Jesse Joronen a few days ago:

The same article also linked Chancellor to Leeds and Brighton, but not us. I did comment at the time that the Brighton links for Chancellor made no sense as they don't need CBs.

Anyway, sportswitness is now claiming that actually Villa and Watford are actually in for Chancellor, but they don't provide any extra sources to back that claim up. They might just be misreading the original Corriere article which says we were in for Joronen, not Chancellor. There don't seem to be any Corriere articles linking us with Chancellor.

Maybe we have also enquired about Chancellor, but it seems Corriere and sportswitness are just throwing out names at random.

The article which that articles is based on, is based on the exact same article which linked us to Joronen previously.

It appears in the rumour-mill nonsense of Chinese whispers, sportswitness have misread the corriere article and accidentally linked us with Chancellor instead.

A little surprised we didn't pip Milan to signing Tonali. Apparently Gino offered Suarez's left foot, Deeney's ego and his mother's secret Bolognese recipe.

Selling Bachmann for £15m and getting someone decent in would be good business, would this fit the bill?
