Global Werewolf - Day 4

I'll be writing a full write up of my thoughts shortly. I'll be killed tonight, so it'll be a bit like a handover note!

 

If I was to bet, I don't think there'll be a second message as the wolf seems a bit snookered.

Just have to get the lynching right now.

 

Ok, I went back re-read the threads and a couple of red flags came up mainly with Tokyo (sorry if I'm wrong) but they were nagging me.

Tokyo - trying to out Fes as the Seer as the first message was in French - if I was on team Good, I wouldn't have broadcast it, just in case.

Tokyo - early voting and using the Mayor vote on Fes day 2

I've searched the 3 people I'm suspicious of and here are their posts:

Make of it what you will: I haven't discounted Athens, Istanbul, Moscow or Nairobi - but I'm less suspicious of Nairobi - I'm looking at all their posts as well.

So now I know I'm not going to survive the night.

My views on the players left, in order of suspicion, are:

Tokyo. Claimed that "the French bit" in the messages looked like a "pointless distraction". Has seemed very wolflike in his precise messages, which deflect and don't accuse. Was the most definitive that I was evil: "Right, I’ve has a look through again. I’m going for Jeddah. His logic naming Santiago seems like a misdirection and it seems to have had the desired effect. If he’s not a wolf he’s surely the traitor." The two players he didn't think were suspicious were Elche and Nairobi.

Elche. Again, fits the quiet wolf mould. Given a fair number of nothing posts. Thought on balance the first message on day 1 and 2 were the seer. Voted late yesterday for Santiago, when it was clear who was going to be killed, but went for Fes early (a few players then instantly jumped in). Asked the question whether players get killed if they don't vote and said that there was leniency - which I thought could potentially be a hint to The Globe to shut the game and kill off good players.

Quito. Hard to read. Said that the seer should view me or Elche, but also brought up that they were suspicious. Has said a few true facts to help good villagers, but nothing concrete. Responded to Elche's message: "Do people reckon the wolves know each other yet? Obviously they haven't met on a kill yet but is it likely they know each other through patterns of play?" with "Unlikely, but the traitor will know who both are so might be worth seeing if there's any voting patterns that have emerged" which I thought could be a hint.

Athens. Really not sure about them. A few players, including Denver, really suspected them. On day 2, they delivered a stream of classic nothing messages (i.e. asking for game rules), which seemed a deliberate ploy to inflate their post count before giving a total post count for the day.

Moscow. Was unsure about Moscow, but Denver trusted him. Voted for a random choice at the beginning of the game, which in some ways attracts more attention but also means its harder to trace their views. I'm not sure an evil would waste an early vote though, as it might be needed in case of a tight vote. Didn't believe Oslo and said that he was likely to vote for them. Hasn't contributed much at all Suspects: Athens.

Istanbul. Thought they were evil for a couple of days as their pattern of play was a little wolf-like. Now I'm less suspicious, even though they're still an option. They confirmed that they understood which message was which straight away yesterday when they didn't need to, and have been chasing a number of suspicious potential wolves this morning.

Nairobi. I was really sure he was the traitor for ages. Now I'm no so sure. Wrote a post saying that he suspected Denver (Guardian), Elche, Tokyo and Quito and three of those are the players I most suspect.

Venice. Confirmed good.

Krakow. Confirmed good.

Additional thoughts. Why did the Fes vote get so big so quickly? If someone who went for Fes early is evil, it might be worth looking at who voted immediately before/ after, as well as who they might be protecting.

 

I like that a lot.

As a newer player learning live it's a bit tough to know what to say and when. If you check, Nairobi's next post immediately after the Fes / French thing shows exactly that.

If I've raised suspicions it'll be a lesson for next time and another loss for good tonight.

If I'm too defensive now I'm kaput. Likewise if I say nothing. So erm, yeah. I'd rather you gave me the benefit of the doubt for now and looked to the bigger sh*t stirrers from the last couple of days.

 

Just looked back.

Elche voted for Fes, immediately followed by Tokyo. Which makes me think that Elche is most likely of the two to be a wolf. Tokyo could be a wolf, or a traitor.

 

So simultaneously not accusing enough in writing precise messages, yet next up too definitive in accusing you? You sure me voting for you hasn't coloured your judgement a bit? I understand why it might I guess, and I don't blame you really, but I'm sure others will see that case is weak.

 

Good solid analysis from you and Krakow.

You say that Nairobi has suspected Denver, Elche, Tokyo and Quito. But he also suspected me as well ( he voted for me) . Thats almost half of the remaining players. Not really saying much if you accuse everybody, in fact it just spreads confusion.

 

Agree Jeddah, my 4 suspects are:

Tokyo
Elche
Quito
Athens

Therefore, as no second message seems to be forthcoming, my vote and the mayoral vote will be between Tokyo and Elche...haven't decided yet.

 

It does spread confusion. But I don't think a traitor would include the name of two likely evil players in a list of four suspects. It's way too bold.

 

Elche voted for Fes, immediately followed by Tokyo. We know that the traitor definitely knows who the wolf is, but we don't know if the wolves know each other, or who the traitor is.

Therefore logically, we should assume that the person who follows is more likely to be traitor than the person who led. Both could be wolves, but I'd go for Elche first then Tokyo.

Also, if Elche is evil, then this also incriminates Quito for his message above.

 

That's who I was leaning towards...ok my mind's made up.

Tokyo, has a stay of execution...for now.

 

We have one message today so we know it's the Seer. Is there anything in that that could help us out rather than going on voting patterns?

 

Genius move using the double counting mayor vote first.

 

Extra voted added for Elche to act as the Mayor's second vote.

 

Elche gets my vote too.

Really hope he's a wolf.

What could this possibly mean? We're all praising the Seer but we're just glossing over this?

 

I don't think I ever accused Denver.

 

This voting is worse than Eurovision.

 

Elche was one of 3 wolf suspects for me yesterday. Nothing today has changed my mind on that.

 

And the other 2? Tokyo and Quito ?

 

I have contributed wtf. I have tried to anyway but its not easy when you have a role with no ability other than to vote.

For what it's worh I am going to vote Quito and I think people should follow. Really starting to think he is a wolf.

 

Elche and Quito were on my list of possible wolves , Still suspicious of Nairobi for traitor ,

 

You've had four hours to raise this and now reaching for it when things are starting to look slightly bleak for you. Sorry Elche, you get my vote. You've been just doing enough to avoid suspicion throughout.

Make that 4 votes. I was going to vote quito but seems a waste.

 

Shouldn't have had to raise it, should I? Who is the one voice you can trust in the game? The Seer!
