Not exactly a laugh-a-minute but AIDS the unheard tapes - a 3 part documentary on BBC, is brilliantly done.

Random musing, but has anyone who watches the Chase regularly noticed Banksy is always an answer to a question in pretty much every final chase?

That's because Bradley Walsh is Banksy.

I thought the storyline was just too obvious. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it but I just wanted more out of it. Still looking forward to more though.

I like Eve Myles's work (Torchwood/Who & her S4C/Shakespeare stuff) so I was surprised to see that a 2nd series of "We Hunt Together" was being released as I had never heard of the 1st series (BBC studios co-production for the 'Alibi' channel - I'm assuming that's waaaaaaaaaaaay down the freeview/set top box listings). On the surface it's nothing much - standard cop procedural featuring the 'unlikely' pairing of Officer Chalk with Officer Cheese (whom both have 'backstories') to investigate a rip-off of Alice's character from 'Luther'... But the cast work meld well together (I'm still not taken with the other lead Babou Ceesay - who I *think* I worked with at Imperial) with a fairly pacey script and there's the added bonus of Hermione Corfield vamping it up to produce some very enjoyable TV.

Yep I enjoyed this. Thought it was very Luther. No announcement on a 3rd season though.

Yep, same here. Some awesome scenes and CGI which were fantastic, but seriously, the whole last 2 episodes could have easily been done in 2 hours max. Four hours was taking the p***. Got that nasty feeling that they're ringing every last ounce of money out of this now with "just one more" last series. It's going to run dry like Walking Dead isn't it?

After a shaky couple of episodes to set the scene, Borgen (Netflix) is back on form and after its spot at the top of political dramas. By episode four you’ll believe you understand Danish.

I know it's highly rated, but when it first came out I started to watch Borgen but couldn't get into it. I think it was because I had watched a lot of the Scandi noir stuff by then and I was always expecting someone to get murdered.

There’s the odd thriller element in the latest series that may satisfy those who need another mordare.
Mrs Keighley clearly has excellent taste, in most departments.

I’ve been trying to get in to Ozark but I don’t think it’s very good.

I find it tries way to hard to generate tension and I just don’t buy the characters or the situation. Added to that, the dialogue is hammy and while it’s got a strong visual aesthetic I find everything else about the direction and score grating.

It feels like they artificially raise the stakes rather than do it through good storytelling. It should be right up my street but I just look at it and think I’d rather be rewatching Breaking Bad or The Sopranos for some high stakes family crime drama.

I’ve watched most of S1 but not gone back to it for a couple of weeks. Should I stick with it? Do better characters enter the story?

I was the same with Ozark, on paper it should be exactly my thing but couldn’t even finish season 1.

On the other hand started on BCS over the weekend as the second half is out in a couple of days, that is still as brilliant as ever.

I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable ride. There are good and memorable characters to come, but it’s worth it alone for Ruth, who becomes the story’s heart.

Is it as good as the Sopranos, BCS or the Wire? No, but it’s in the next tier and therefore better than most.

I slightly ballsed up as thought the second half would all drop at once next week, hence waiting until now to watch the first half, I think I’ll just have to watch it weekly now though as I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. Such a fantastic show, I’m going to really miss it.

I think Ozark is quite good from an acting perspective, the plot is less believable than other crime series of a similar nature, it's OK there are better series out there but I can understand why some people don't stick with it. I haven't got around to watching the second half of the final series yet.

Excellent return episode of Better Call Saul

Wasn't expecting Lalo to meet his end that soon. Would be weird to watch BB now knowing him and Howard are buried under the lab

I've just started watching Joe Pera Talks With You – first on Adult Swim but it's on All 4 as of now.

It's quirky and cute and a bit different,. Alternative comedy/drama sort of thing.

Episodes are around 10 minutes so it's easy to dip into.

The boys s3 has morphed into a parody of itself. 5/10.

They seem to spend more time thinking of funny/gory death scenes and throwing in vulgarities than they do plot.

    Bit of St Albans too.

I reviewed in on this thread #4080 and managed to watch it until the end.
