What would you trade with Lucifer in order for victory on May 18?
I'll throw in my GB Seniors appearances,a 4k trophy and Wimbledon tickets for life, although Satan may look slightly out of place at The AELTC!
Anything from you or are you hoping the spirit of GT will guide us to Paradise?

There could be a very interesting face-off with Sir Cliff (assuming they are not one and the same...).

Desperately want to see us win but would hate to think they did only because of a cheat.
    So absolutely nothing.
Play the best 11 and if we deserve to win, we will win. 10% chance if we play Foster. 9.8% chance if we play Gomes. ;-)

It would be lovely to finish 8th, have some teams fans laud it over us about getting europe, then win the cup.

    Would happily sacrifice L*ton Town.

I’d even throw Bas in as a freebie. Bet the git can’t send gloating texts from Hell.

I’d take losing Javi but not losing Pozzo.

I’d take not playing in Europe (on some technicality).

I’d take a term of Comrade Corbyn but not leaving.

A spell in the Ecuadorian embassy?
Didn't seem to be that helpful to Mr Assange!
As David Jacobs,or whatever he's called, said "He looks like Moore Marriott".
Let's hope we're not "wasting our time" on May 18!

    Pop's most memorable Latin verse:

    Ecce momenta
    Illa mirabilia
    Quae captabit
    In aeternum
    Memor
    Modo…

It's certainly not in terrace chant territory.

    More Gregorian chant.

During my youth, NME & others rather mocked 'Byron Ferrari' & the reheated 'lounge' Roxy Music.

Having studied the matter, I have to conclude that early Roxy were touched by genius, & the genius was Ferry.

    Excellent book by Jonathan Rigby:

(The Reverend) Andy Mackay was, almost always, the lead instrument. Phil 'Manzanera' Targett-Adams was generally a rhythm player.

The High Road is an excellent film of a live concert in the early 80s.

Mackay is superb, as is the version of Neil Young's Like A Hurricane.

    1972 or thereabouts.

If Bryan ever considers getting this song on the road again, he may wish to tweak this verse:

    Here as I sit
    At this empty café
    Thinking of you
    I remember
    All those moments
    Lost in wonder
    That we'll never
    Find again
    Though the world
    Is my oyster
    It's only a shell
    Full of memories
    And here by the Seine
    Notre-Dame casts
    A long lonely shadow.

TBF it's probably even more poignant. The main structure is still in place so the "long lonely shadow" is even more apt. Maybe "long charred shadow" or "long lonely shadow but not quite as long now that the spire has burnt and fallen off" ?
