18-19 Points Progress

According to this only Huddersfield & Cardiff have received less income since 2010 than Watford(with some missing records from Bournemouth "surprise, surprise" not included).

However, surely we'd have received more income from 4 years in the EPL than £294m let alone since 2010. I think the figures are a bit on the low side.

 

Just had confirmation it's from 2010 to 2017, so the figures make a bit more sense now.

The current position is:

• 7 points better than this time last year (43 vs 36). This is the same as after the last game.
• 12 points better than the comparable fixtures last year (43 vs 31). This is the same as after the last game
• 12 points better than the '40 point' line (43 vs 31). This is 2 points better than after the last game.

 

I see you are still holding out on the y-axis scale change. Clearly a man with a strong mind. Hope you are forced to be flexible soon ;-)

How far did injuries limit us in previous seasons?

That was all we talked about for the last 3 years.

Hardly mentioned this time. Must be worth 5 points. 10 points?

 

Good point regarding injuries. Our first season was very good in terms of lack of injuries and we got 45 points. Our second and third seasons were blighted by injury. This season we've been pretty injury free again.

So I would say, the injury situation played a massive part in previous seasons. I would say it has cost us between 5-10 points, as you say.

You are indeed an optimist - especially if you think that the match will end at 7.20. The ref will put us out of our misery at 7.25 at the earliest.

Using the results from the first half of the season and applying these rules for the second half of the season:

We won at home = we will draw away
We drew at home = we will lose away
We lost at home = we will lose away

We won away = we will win at home
We drew away = we will win at home
We lost away = we will draw at home

From the first 11 games in the second half of the season we are already 5 points up on "par"

Using these rules we should gain 14 points from our remaining 8 games, giving us an end of season total of 57 points. (4 wins at home plus a draw with Arsenal - 2 defeats away plus a draw at Huddersfield)
