I'm glad we're batting 1st and 3rd on that pitch. It will be a nightmare on days 4 and 5. Already bumping, skidding along, pea rollers, cracks everywhere. 350/375 could be a very hand score on this. Well played Root an Foakes, they have at least made a recovery and given us a chance to post a reasonable score.
Excellent day for England. Some nice surprises with Robinson’s 50 and Bashir getting 4 wickets so far .
You'll lose James Rew in the next year too. Currently with the lions but expect him to be be 2nd keeper on tour next year. Probably pushed up to 6 or maybe 5 at Somerset. 350 is looking a good score at the moment.ma lead of 100/120 would be great, they will never chase down 320/350 on that pitch
So our first 3 wickets put exactly half the total put on by the last 3 Indian wickets. The match is becoming a pretty even call.
Another day in the series where the outcome of the test and possibly series swings 180 degrees towards India. It looked very unlikely last night that we wouldn’t put ourselves in a strong match winning position today, even if the lead was reduced to say 100 and we only scored 200-250 in our second innings.
If only we hadn't taught them about Bazball in the first test we might have had more of a chance in the rest of the series
Yes we turned a winning position into a losing position yesterday - that lost us the match and the chance to go into a decider at 2-2.
True, but that was mainly down to Jurel…and the way he was able to bat puts our ‘performance’ in stark context.
So the cricket's going well again. Eng collapse to 175-6 losing 3 wickets for zero runs after a promising start.
Well least it’s just the cricket that has been troubling! Unlike this tour. Note now long it was too . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/68446964
