Brilliant point. We’d have lost that last season. As good as a win.

Not a bad result considering how pony we were defensively.

Think in the context of it being the closing stages of a ridiculous circus of an end-to-end match, which itself is the final one of 3 in 6 days and in the last match we played with 10 for half an hour, I’d give Val a pass. No way he makes those subs if he has a free hand.

Crazy but thrilling game. Subs killed our attacking momentum, the ball carrying of Chak + Kone was what made it such an end to end game and we lost that when they went off, but with the fixture list as it is, I can understand why they were made. A well fought point in difficult conditions.

For the love of God please just bring us a decent #9 Gino. Rajovic is so out of his depth it’s scary, a decent #9 and we win that. What Val has achieved given some of the limitations in this squad is nothing short of remarkable.

I don't know about Kayembe, but there were several players out there towards the end who looked absolutely shot. Poor weather like that is more tiring to play on.

Very entertaining game, Plymouth really should’ve got a winner in that closing spell, but that was down to Val’s subs.

Great game, same as the 0-0 was against them at our place. This game could have ended 6-6. Cracking goals all round. That double tackle by Livermore in the 91st minute was beautiful to watch.

Can we start one of those gov.uk petitions so that they can debate dropping Rajovic to the bench in Parliament.

Good to get back twice but some ropey defending going on.

Do need more consistency there and a striker who can get involved more .

Least the midfield can score .

    We will miss Kayembe .

What a cracking game that was - it's difficult to argue with the commitment of the players (except Louza) or the point. Really that game could have finished anything.

I'd be very interested to see the xG of that from @reids and the xG of the goals scored. There were some excellent finishes from both sides from difficult positions. Whittaker has some shot on him for Plymouth - I mentioned this just the other week but it's mad that they got him from Swansea last summer for just £1mil.

For us, Kayembe and Kone continue to have their shooting boots on. Kayembe will be such a miss during the Afcon, though he has seemed tired these last couple of games. It's a shame Andrews isn't more composed in front of goal yet as well or else he could have had a hat-trick today (the goal he did score was a tidy finish, but didn't require him to to really strike the ball or have any time to think what he had to do).

Just repeating my comment above, we still seemed like we could win it towards the end up until we brought Louza on, at which point completely inevitably Plymouth took charge of the closing stages. It was also a bit strange at first that we kept Rajovic on the whole game while taking Kone off, but we were actually still looking dangerous after that point with TDB looking lively in the midfield until he was stupidly shifted to RB.

Hamer had another excellent game today as well under the circumstances. Hoedt and Livermore also were very good in putting their bodies on the line at the end. The only goal of theirs which it was really annoying to concede was their 3rd when it seemed Hoedt could have been stronger in forcing their player wide, but other than that they had two excellent hits which we couldn't do much about.

Not the worst point in the world in some tough conditions against a team who love to bomb forward at home and had some talent in attack.

Delighted we got a point from that. I know from experience, it’s bloody hard to played with a pounding headache from a hangover.

There was a point in stoppage time where their corner was cleared and 2 of our players steamed out to close the man down. They were not going to get there just closing down. But they left the winger free on his own behind them. Utterly baffling and kamikaze.

Imagine this team v a top six premier league side! We'd concede 15! Plymouth had 31 shots with 11 on target! We need to score 4 every game.

Game should never have kicked off. Awful conditions. Ball was holding up and spray coming off it all through - pitch was cutting up badly 2nd half too especially around the centre.

Didn't enjoy Gomes' nonsense on comms either. Hope that's not repeated.

Some strange subs - Kone started off quite poor but improved. Capped off with a cracking curled goal. I was surprised to see him replaced. VI obviously thought we could go on and win and wanted both Healey and the ineffective Raj together. I was also surprised Kayemebe didn't see the game out. Nobody knocks that man off the ball. He's like a juggernaut when he starts running with it.

Asprilla was very lively when he came on. He's improving each week. Livermore was excellent, but MOTM must be Hamer who made some brilliant saves again - despite letting in 3.

It looked, to me, like a clear pen on Healey in the 2nd half. Defender dragged him down with an arm across the throat. Others said no, but I'll be interested to see that again.

Ryan 'impetuous' Porteous charged in and missed on several occasions, which proved expensive for us.

Poor old Louza came on. Thought we wouldn't see any more of him. His contributions were: 1. Give the ball away in a dangerous position 2. Shank it out of play with a misplaced return pass 3. Give away a stupid foul 4. Loop a non-threatening ball into their box which was easily cleared.

VI's subs are amazingly attacking. Our defence is all over the shop so to shore things up he brings on Asprilla for Kayembe and a 2nd striker. Its quite exciting but also crazy.

There's arguably too much football on television but, if you were a neutral you'd stop to watch that.
If you were an Argyle or Hornets fan you'd start worrying about a heart attack.

I wonder when we last had a match in which three different goal-scorers for us were then later replaced?

Absolute dog sh!te conditions but my word what a game. Decent point and well earned but that could of ended 8-8 and it would of been fair. Some kamakarzie defending from both sides, with a slippery pitch and surface water in the second half it did look like hazardous conditions but you cannot deny the entertainment value on a new years day. I thought we would lose this, and to be fair defending like that, we are going to lose more than we win going forward. Terrible from Porteous and Morris had quite a poor game as well. Hamer may of let in three, but my god he made some saves especially in the second half as Plymouth went for it towards the end. Bachmann in goal, we lose that.

Andrews took his goal really well, Kone' scored a stunner and Keyembe got another one. Some of the play was all over the park but I think the conditions did have a massive part to play today. Have to be pleased with a point at a really tough ground, although was Healy held at the death? Looked like a penalty to me. But then I remembered we haven't been given one all season. Three wins and a draw from our last four away games is nothing to be sniffed at either.

Now we have a slight break with the FA Cup then it's back on the road again for two "winnable" games in QPR and Sheff Wed. Hopefully we can beat Chesterfield next week to get that winning feeling back. Great effort by both sides and a great advert for this division.

Given that the game ended up being one of the most entertaining ones we've had in years it clearly very much should have kicked off.

Entertaining stuff thanks to poor defending. Hamer with some very solid saves, but he may be a little upset with their second and third goals. Horrendous conditions didn’t help the players with their basic skillls.

Hard to be too critical, but Porteous and Raj have to be questioned. I think Porteous just needs to get his attitude and focus right, otherwise Serrialta needs to step in. As for Rajovic, I feel for him. He is not a good footballer, trying to prove himself at a high level. Nothing right with his movement, close control, passing, speed or layoffs. Has scored some goals, but the number of chances he instigated for Plymouth today was appalling. I seriously believe that other teams have twigged this and are using his inability to hold up the ball as a springboard for counterattacks. That sounds mean, and he seems like a good bloke, but it is costing us.

Reasonably happy with a point away. We scored three fantastic goals. Don’t understand why Kayembe was taken off. Alas, we are not genuine contenders for a promotion push, in my view, as things stand.

That’s a good point all in all. Looked a great game for the travelling supporters to reward such a trek. Think the season will fizzle out into mid table which is an achievement, but interesting to see if they put any building blocks in place for next season in the January window.

Porteous is already just one booking away from a two match ban, so Sierralta will be having to step in soon enough one way or another anyway.

Probably the worst was when the Plymouth keeper made a brilliant one-handed save off a deflection off his own defender.

"You know who that save reminds me of?.......ME!"

And then proceeded to go on about a save he made years ago v West Ham for about 10 mins,

I kind of agree with your view. My only caveat is that there’s not much difference between us and the teams paced 5th to 17th any of whom could be playoff contenders with a run.

A very entertaining match . Could easily have been 5-5

We started well but after Kayembe’s the game turned and we seemed to be leaving huge gaps and unable to get back into any shape . Thank goodness for Livermore and his coolness on the ball .three great goals though and I thought second half we were completely in control . I agree that the subs then reduced our dominance in midfield , though it was good to see Healey get a full 20 minutes.

We seem to have Defensively shambolic periods in most matches now. The last time we looked properly solid was vs Southampton. If we continue to defend like we are we won’t get near the playoffs but can’t fault the entertainment value.

We will miss Kayembe but looks like Chak will be stepping in. I like his call carrying ability and work rate , but don’t really rate his distribution and that’s 4 goals for Kayembe now so we’ll also miss his goal threat .
