Pelicans are bastards. People wouldn't be voting yes if they'd seen the videos of them hoovering up other birds in their pouches and swallowing them alive.

Herons are similarly evil things. Springwatch shouldn’t show them before the watershed.

I would be against the reintroduction of the Lynx being reintroduced purely based on the smell my teenage son leaves in the bathroom

Instead of having to cull red deer allow the apex predator back. Landowners will be upset as will farmers but with careful management and sense conflict to a larger extent can be prevented. Apex predators have suffered to a huge degree globally and they need helping.

What we do need is a cull of gamekeepers and a watch on these evil hunting estates. Anyone who gets a kick out of shooting animals for alleged sport is sick.

No chance. Bolan is long dead, and human cloning isn't allowed.

There are plenty of old prehistoric dinosaurs in the House of Lords. Shame they aren't extinct.

Strange isn’t it that farmers hundreds of years ago could get their act together to eradicate bears and wolves, but foxes they never managed it. Need a predator to naturally control deer and badger numbers, maybe wolves or lynx. Removing apex predators has a terrible impact on eco systems.

I think we should though try something a bit more ambitious. Like reintroducing river and marine fish naturally through environmental improvement. Partly through a massive restriction on inshore fishing in UK waters , and partly through a massive improvement in river and inshore environments and water quality.

Can't see how fish are going to keep the badger population down, but worth trying I guess :)

Thirsty badger creeps to side of the river for a quick drink - piranha attacks - "Bang"....one less badger.
