Okay, if you want to imagine that I've been vehemently and aggressively arguing that Mogi has been good for us, for 2-3 years then crack on, if it makes you feel better.

That would be brilliant. In fact we should sign these two and it can be called Tantrums and Diarras

History has indeed already judged him, however he tries to reinvent himself now. We knew they would do this once Leader faced his endgame, but we shall remember.

I was really alluding to the way you seemed to imply some form of ‘disloyalty’ on the part of those expressing the more extreme sentiments against Pozzo. If you didn’t mean that then that’s not really how it came over.

IMO, being ‘ratified’ by the Italian FA does not equate to much!

Bayat and Galluci say they're confident everything was above board so think that puts it to bed. It will be like the Kamara situation. The FA won't like it but really it's no different to another club overpaying for a player.

I'm sure all dealings are independently ratified so in my eyes, the club has done no wrong.

As I've said before - I thought it seemed pretty likely based on the info that the use of the agent and agent fees weren't entirely about the team or the players themselves, but about being a tax efficient way for the Pozzos to transfer money out the club and to somewhere like Luxembourg.

Considering there was someone like Lorenzo Gallucci who worked for both the Pozzos' and Bayat's companies, all the money being paid to Bayat probably isn't just being given to Bayat by the Pozzos for no reason for them to never see any of it again.

As in rather than draw dividends, falsely inflate agent fees due to your mate that ends up in a tax haven?

Just a bit of tax efficiency like an ISA!

It's amazing that despite all the murkiness around him, the opaque nature of his business, brushes with the law that Pozzo is still happy to associate the club with Bayat. Perhaps his papa should remind him of what happened with Udinese a few seasons ago. Betting scandals and fixing transfer fees.

A ‘Levy/ENIC out’ banner has been unfurled at the front of the spurs end tonight for the last 20 mins. Far bigger than any banner any WFC fan displayed in recent weeks…but they aren’t doing anything.

Almost as if WFC are complying with rules they know won’t be challenged if broken.

You're joking right? Literally most posts on this forum are sarcastic, the emoji needs to be mandatory.

Also, can we have a schadenfreude emoji? As that is verging on mandatory.

I guess Spurs (and Man Utd for that matter) don't have a childish disgraceful despotic management that instructs a gang of stewards to behave like stormtroopers?

As the club have helpfully reminded us “You are allowed free speech but not anywhere inside the ground”.

So get ready for more manhandling, loud music and likely canned applause so that there is no evidence of dissent against Leader.

What an utter, utter disgrace this once great club is.

Question is, is Pozzo ordering it or are his underlings scurrying round to try to keep the unrest and dissent hidden from their dear leader?

Our fanbase is a bit soft and tend to be loudest online (although this seem to be changing a bit over the last few games), which makes it easy for the club/stewards to do what they want, if there was genuine anger/uproar by hundreds of people near a Gino out banner that was trying to be removed by the stewards they would soon back off. I guess it also requires some wider organisation which usually fan-groups would lead but ours seem disinterested/apathetic or scared to lose their access to the club.

Trouble is, it sounds like most of the uproar about the Pozzo out banner has been people angry at the people displaying it.

There must have been more to the incidents than just being told off for having a banner to be kicked out surely ?

I have no problem with the exchange of opinions but, as a former university academic, I thought it might be useful to see if there is a theoretical framework that might help us understand where the club is, and how it got there.

I have found such a framework, describing the stages of decline of a company. I have picked out a few quotations by way of a summary.

    upload_2023-4-28_14-27-25.png

    1. When past performances form the basis for a feeling of invulnerability, and considered a guarantee for future success, hubris has started.

    2. In this phase… organisations stray from the structure and activities that led them to greatness in the first place.

    3. In the third phase, the organisation denies risks and perils, but things continue to look good from the outside. On the inside, however, more and more signs of decline appear. Companies… tend to exaggerate positive things and downplay negative data or performances.

    4. The organisation has lost awareness when it comes to its own greatness and competence. Its self-confidence has completely gone away… The organisation may… be saved by a charismatic leader with a clear vision [or] a radical transformation.

    5. In the last phase… the organisation slowly slides into the abyss, and leaders finally give up their courage and hope. The company is sold, disappears into irrelevance, or shuts down.

Edit: I think WFC is in phase 4.

Phase 1: believing getting to the cup final cos Wolves blew the semi whilst the apparent flirtation with European qualification was unceremoniously trashed after said semi. ‘Best of the rest’ BS was the very definition of hubris.

Phase 2: buying Sarr and the continual reference to our ‘extremely talented squad’, the members of which, however, did not deserve whatever bonuses had been suggested.

Phase 3: the immediate promotion to the Prem coupled with Fuxbury’s admission he thought they’d assembled a ‘very competitive squad’

Phase 4: burn through 2 old duffers who would hopefully metamorphasise into miracle workers, then turn to their total antithesis, who was then sacked almost immediately.

    I think we’re already borderline Phase 5
