It doesn't matter with this group of players. Anyone of us on this forum could do a decent job of making the players' not care right now. It might matter more next season, with a more able squad who want to acheive things. For now, a paint can, a lump of wood or an empty vacant seat will do just as well as Wilder.
He was the one who spat at horns supporters wasn't he? Can do without that sort of 'passion'. An awful player. Makes Kabasele look a superstar.
Defensively our left side is a joke, stood still for the first and poorly handled the third goal. We look so much weaker with Kamara in the team. It doesn't help Hoedt loses his head a lot.
Does anyone know what happened to the pitch invader, It looked as if he went back to his seat with security scratching their heads, and probably thought making him watch the second half was punishment enough, did that grab him at the end of the game?
To be fair to the players (not that I want to) much of what Wilder said was incomprehensible, so perhaps it's understandable that they don't follow his instructions to the letter
He was told to sit outside Gino's office and wait, like a naughty schoolboy waiting for the headmaster. Then he was walked into a room where he was taught the right way to act as a fan under the Pozzo regime, by writing 1000 lines that read "I will never, never, do that again. I will obey the rules of our overlord Gino and forever repsect his wishes." After that, he was given an apple carton and a lollypop and sent on his way.
Morris has probably been the player who's done the least wrong in 2023 (best compliment I could muster), and yet he's been banished back to the u21's behind this clown
Andrews, Morris, Asprilla, Blake and Hamer are a few of the only ones who I would like to see next season. Saying that, quite a few clubs are looking into Blake - so he might be gone before he gets a decent run in the team.
I enjoyed it when Kamara blasted a shot miles over last week and ran off laughing as Louza moaned at him for not passing. Totally normal.
Yes, never heard it said so straight. I now believe Wilder is the man to sort this shambles out. So he'll be on his way the day after our last match.
I think the answer is the Pozzos are trying to sell as much as possible at as high a price as possible. And control who plays. The head coach doesnt.
He isnt a manager though. I question whether he even picks the team. He undertakes training and gives them tactics. Pozzo picks the team. The players ignore the tactics
Back in 'yesteryear' when STs were made from paper, we could have gathered around and burnt them to create our own elegy for the soul of WFC.
Indeed. Louza was the Messiah when he was injured, despite having not done much to deserve it. Now he's (IBB to fimish the sentence).
Unless you don't believe him, he said he's had no intereference from Pozzo. Strange thing to lie about given he's been so "brave" with all his other observations ?
Well in his press conference yesterday, quoted on the previous page, which lots in here seem to entirely believe and agree wtth, Wilder said: "The club has been great with me. I’ll be totally honest, there’s no interference. There has been a couple of discussions in terms of certain things that they wanted to do or I wanted to do, and they’ve let me do it. I have no criticism of the club in terms of affecting me or telling me to do this, that or the other."
Is Pozzo even at games anymore? There was talk of him there last night but I’m surprised there hasn’t been a photo. Although the stewards swarming around the directors area after the 3rd goal went in might tell a story.
I have started to doubt if the players want us to get promoted. If we did, I believe we have to buy both Choudhury & Davis and maybe they hate the environment so much, they don't want to sign permanently. Such as Sarr, Louza & maybe even JP know if we stay down we'll be forced to accept much lower offers for them than would otherwise have been the case & they want out desperately. Kamara couldn't give a t055 anyway, whilst such as Bacuna (who had already struggled to get a club} may hope to get a longer term contract with us, which will only happen if we don't go up.
I hear he was thrown out for hurling abuse at the Directors box and trying to unfurl a "Duxbury out" banner.
They do give that impression however they must see they would gain by pushing on and taking a starring role in winning promotion ? Do Davis & Choudhury think they get to play in the prem any other way after the season they have both had ? Maybe the environment would be great if they had played their socks off and won promotion ?
It seems we have gone from fans taking vegetables to the games to putting shirts on the vegetables and expecting them to win football matches.
Asprilla, Andrews and perhaps Kone. JP had seemed to have really gone up a notch briefly under Bilic, but has regressed again since him having traveled to Milan with rumours they had a deal in place for him.
Maybe they just feel certain we'd go down with a record low points tally and don't want any part of it. I reckon the environment was already too rotten for them to influence it that much.
