Why does hostile have to mean ‘destroying our club’?

It doesn’t have to mean spit-filled fury and not listening to his answers. It can perfectly mean ‘I want you to explain in detail why it is that you have consistently lied to fans over the last few years regarding coaches?’ - to me that’s hostile, fair and deserves an answer.

I have zero doubts in my mind that this will be stage-managed beyond an inch of its life and Gino will hand pick a couple of mildly negative questions to answer and will sit in the background for the majority of it.

Questions around debt have been asked before in open environments and have been fobbed off at every step - why would they suddenly be open now just because it’s asked in a polite way? Whether it’s appreciated or not, you would need someone like @Jumbolina to ask the question who would show real concern and not allow them to wash him away with a vague answer and move on - and you bet your last dollar that won't be what happens.

It'll be another event where they can say what they want, buy themselves time with those who have only recently turned lightly angry who will flip back to 'let's give him the time to act on his words' and then move forward with more lies, more debt and more sackings.

Surely you’re too busy to reply anyway - aren’t you (pretending) to have brunch with Giaretta or something today?

A little while back people figured out that Gino is definitely autistic, now people want him to be trapped in a room, relentlessly abused by very angry boys? Hasn't anyone thought about his #MensMentalHealth?

He or someone else will probably just point out people wanted Bilic and Munoz out for example.

What needs to be asked is why Pozzo clearly went against the thought process and attitude to the Rob Edwards’ appointment portrayed by his CEO/Chairman?

Is that a sign of a board lacking in understanding of each other and coherent thinking ?

Even reading the Athletic it seems we have one set of people not speaking to another - that cannot be good for anyone .

In this thread you have been pretty critical of these DNYSE (I've no idea who they are btw) peoples campaign to influence change and suggested why their efforts are futile and what they instead should do. Their campaign seemed to have one simple goal which it seems the club have now committed to. No doubt there are number of factors behind the clubs decision but I'm not sure it really matters. You mention you have genuine kudos to those who did it and tried but this really isn't what comes across from your posts. I just think it would have been easier to concede a bit rather than doubling down on the criticism.

I do like a lot of your posts which often provide genuine and fascinating insight to the club that i would not otherwise know about. But I also find the relentless defensiveness and aggressiveness a bit OTT as it seems threads often become about you. I appreciate the irony that I'm now perpetuating this very same thing by posting about you so I will shut up.

That's obviously an unanswerable question as it begs "which lies, which coaches".
Why not just ask about the specific issue you want an answer to ?

I appreciate your post and opinion - obviously I can't refute what you say because I would be told that I'm being defensive. But I post just as many things that agree with people as I do things that disagree - but it seems to be the nature on here that negative points are highlighted and the opposite goes with little comment. I'm certainly not aggressive either!

As for DNSYE, I had a positive interaction with one of them on here where I made positive comments and gave advice (which they were/are free to ignore) on how I think it could be better done. I do have knowledge of how to get campaigns off the ground so I'm not talking nonsense. I said I would happily financially contribute to a proper thought out campaign which is more than most have said!

I personally just think it's naive to to believe that this latest news from the club is in any way linked to something on social media that didn't even take off. If it somehow transpires I'm wrong in that opinion, I will wholeheartedly apologise. But I really don't think I am.

As for my comments about Amersham and Tonycotonstache, to me it's playful ribbing and nothing more. If they are offended by it,. I apologise to them.

I don't think it is obviously unanswerable. Duxbury has lied to fans about a change in approach with coaches, Manga said he thought we were a circus when it comes to hiring/firing - but now he's attached himself to it. So why has Gino got such an itchy trigger finger and why have they felt empowered to tell fans lies and say things are changing, when the evidence says they are the same?

If you disagree with the approach I'm stating, then we will clearly fundamentally disagree. I have never said it should be pitchforks at dawn. But if you ban any element of hostility in the room, then it's not a clear spectrum of fans feelings. Watering things down will just breed more contemptuous behaviour from them.

I'll leave my thoughts at that as we will go round in circles no doubt.

It would just save you time that's all - you'd need to clarify which lies/coaches before you could get an answer. Even I'm not sure whether you're really asking a question or just trying to make a point, but why not ask about Edwards rule of 11 ? Whether Gino supported Edwards appointment ? etc. Perfectly reasonable Qs that warrant an answer.

Will be a complete waste of time if people just ask generic questions about if Gino still wants the best for the club, if he's confident in finances etc. Questions need to be precise - e.g. are you still under investigation in Spain for tax fraud and money laundering?

He's not going to answer any financially sensitive questions. You are just going to get generic responses and assurances that everything is fine. Does anyone seriously expect him to give detailed responses to the current financial situation / tax investigations in other parts of the world / Mogi agent fees, etc?

I'd place a bigger guarantee that he won't be able to make it at short notice for 'personal/undisclosed reasons' and it'll be some hybrid of Duxbury/Manga/Walker.

It has been an intriguing thread to read. I tend to agree with those who suspect it would simply be an exercise in handpicking select questions and providing generic, template answers. I think communication between owner and fans tends to be a bit overrated anyway, especially at a club like ours where we don't really receive any. If we were to win every week, I would be absolutely fine to never hear a peep from him. There certainly wasn't such a clamour for the top dogs to communicate when we reached the FA Cup final or got promoted on either occasion.

No. Which is why it is better to question other things where they can't fudge the answers. I still think an interview with AF is what we needed, preferably a video one where questions are asked, answers are provided and then replied upon.

I don't enjoy the format where someone asks question, fudged answer is given and then it moves to the next prepared question and no recourse is allowed to hold the answer to account.

With all respect, with some of the stuff that comes my way which I brush off/ignore, maybe some of the mods need to read these and refresh themselves.

I am happy to state that I have no issue with you Dom - but I challenged you about an issue not long ago via DM and your failed to reply at all. And the initial message from you was vague at best.

I am comfortable with how it post and what I say - take it up with me privately if you disagree and I will happily withdraw from the forum if needed. I’ve always said as much.

So….let’s have it. Which of these rules have I broken? And tell me how it’s a behaviour that I’ve displayed that haven’t been shown towards me? I’ll help you here…you won’t be able to.

Well personally I didn't know Burnsy had called me out on this thread as I put him on ignore.

All I did was flag the ideal around the Parlaci. Burnsy tried to shoot it down with an attempt at sarcasm which was a personal attack on one of their team.

May I ask Burnsy what purpose this serves?

I asked him to put me on ignore - I didn't ask him to further comment on me or my intent.

Reading back I've seen my name mentioned again by Burnsy. I've no idea why.

Is this how we want this forum to be?

Calling out people? Making things up for LOLs? Trying to steer a forum group into a specific way of thinking?

The mods on here have a thankless task when any idea not aligned to someone else gets analysed and picked at - then personalised.

I can say with 100% certainty that all the mods were great when I chose to quit last year through at the time my own poor mental health.

Calling out dom is another example of how some of us on here need to remember this is a forum that either self regulates itself a fair bit or self implodes.

Healthy debate is crucial to a forum. Some of this isn't healthy and it always ends with the same pointless bickering that has actually derailed the original point I posted last week:

    Here's an idea from DNSYE

Let's try and get Gino talking to us fans.

Sorry if this is a pointless message. Just saying my 50p worth.

I'll say it again as I really think it needs repeating:

When the fun stops - Stop.

    1. It was my call if I wanted to put you on ignore or not. I don’t have anyone on ignore and I’m not doing it with you either.

    2. I did not ‘personally attack’ anyone at DNSYE. I said I don’t enjoy an element of their profile. I didn’t use names and I didn’t use abusive language. So you asked what purpose this serves? The answer is none, because it didn’t happen. You later said I ‘sneer’ which was far more abusive than anything I have said to this other person.

    3. When they then posted on here in response, I spoke to them openly and constructively - is it that that bothers you? That no abuse was given but you’d already thrown your toys out of the pram?

    4. Please for the love of god, seeing as you have mentioned it a number of times now, what have I said to you that has been ‘personalised’? Me saying you retweeting something that I found pointless is not abuse.

I am sorry that you suffered with poor mental health. I truly genuinely am. And on other posts I have even said I have no problem with you and if you took anything I said to heart, even though sarcastic, then I apologise. But I won’t be speaking to you again as frankly it’s a waste of our energy.

This thread is mental, Gino is a grown man, not a Panda we’re trying to get to mate. People should be free and able to say what they want to him, and if that’s angry so be it. It should also be from any fan of the club, not some pre selected bum lickers. The concept that we shouldn’t want to scare him because it’s taken 11 years for him to come out and speak is quite frankly mental. I mean, what’s the worst that can happen folks? Bizarre.
