I don't blame you. They're not supporter focused at all. Like you, I'm a certain age and have a free bus pass. I could've travelled from where I live ( Milton Keynes) for free. I won't be going or trying to watch the match on Hive Live. They charge £10 per match for coverage which kept failing to the point that I missed virtually all the first half and some of the second half of the Birmingham away game. When I complained the Club said it was nothing to do with them. I no longer bother with Hive Live. They just don't care about their customers and they've reached a new low with this travel to L#ton fiasco.

I doubt too many would be fussed about going at this rate .

Not like they will have a lot to sing about!

“Society” is also the reason we are going to miss the playoffs. It’s annoying, but just really unfortunate. Can’t be helped.

Afraid the club is losing its way off the pitch as well as on it, very sad to see!

Am I the only person who thinks the coach is a good idea ? I've been to Luton many times , attacked twice and also seen families including children attacked. Its a horrible place with a large amount of brainless thugs who will think nothing of giving anyone who possibly looks like a Watford fan a good kicking, regardless of age or gender. And for anyone who has not been before, the ground is stuck in the middle of terraced houses, alley ways, no near parking, just perfect for ambushes. I for one are happy to take the Beirut Bus.

    A bit of an overreaction.

I don’t doubt you’ve seen people including kids attacked and you yourself have been attacked, however, in the days where these games are now midday kick-offs, Beds & Herts plod have full control, CCTV everywhere the likelihood of this happening is small.

The fact the club has dictated the terms of how you can attend a football game is absolutely disgusting!!!

Personally, I blame society for Manaj blasting over at Preston that time.

Yes. He'd have scored that in the 1980s.

Coaches going to / from the ground are not going to be targets for bricks thrown by the local thugs at all, are they? If there's one surefire way the thugs can tell who the Watford fans are, knowing we're all coming in around 20 coaches, it'll be when they come towards the ground. The police can't be everywhere so it'll be quite easy to lob a few bricks and run off down the hidden alleyways.

One person doing it is 4.5 seconds per fan = no!
two people doing it is 9 seconds per fan = no!
three people doing it is 13.5 seconds per fan = no!
four people doing it is 18 seconds per fan = no!
five people doing it is 22.5 seconds per fan = no!

How many customer service points does the ticket office currently have?

And us out-of-towners will have to pay more than usual to park in Charter Place for longer.

One would have hoped that they would have made the coach trip free of charge considering we have no choice in the matter.

Having to pay £15 for the coach is the most frustrating bit about having to drive from the Midlands to Watford as they will not give me a choice of how I want to get to the game!!

Having to drive past L_ton to get the coach and away from where you want to end up after the game also sounds very annoying, costing you additional and unnecessary time and money!

OK you have to jump on the coach to get your match ticket
But what is stopping you slipping away after the match if you
live in MK for example ?

Definitely is up there but the £15 really takes the it much further, especially as I feel it has not really been explained why we have to take the coaches except what feels like a throw away phrase about assisting with the policing operation.

I went there in 06/07 and walked to and from the ground and never felt threatened, whereas this time being in a convoy of coaches feels like a recipe for disaster.

There is a long history of this sort of behaviour by the club. Forty years ago the only covered terracing was given to away fans, while we got soaked on the VRE.

Actually, I was thinking that (living in Central Beds) we could park one car in Luton on the way to Watford. After the game, we could drive home and then go and get the car from Watford sometime later in the day. Then I was thinking are we going to be kettled by the police and forced on to the buses after the game?

I presume so -whilst they wait for you outside of course like in 2002.

Only reason their fans didn't hang around last was due to the result.

You won't be allowed to park. The club have decreed that you've all got to travel on supporters coaches.

The fact that you probably parked your car in Watford because there won't be any trains running.

I bet you don't live a long way North of Watford. If you did then you would realize how incredibly annoying and inconvenient it would be for us lot living up here. Also, the club has no right to tell us how we should travel to the match. It's none of their business whether we travel there by car, scooter or helicopter.
