Well, he was only needed for pretty much the exact period of time that people said he was brought in for. And minutes-wise, has played the equivalent of about 4.5 games. Bizarrely Bilic seems to prefer him to Asprilla, but he's no longer needed in the way he clearly was when signed.
He's dreadful. Could just stick a youth player in there for a body and have the same impact. As you say absolutely no idea why Bilic prefers him to Asprilla - big negative mark against Bilic.
Disagree. He's been mostly crap but had a couple of serviceable games, where you can see why he's made the amount of apps he has at this kind of level. Throwing a random 18 year old who isn't exactly standing out weekly against kids, into the most congested area of a Championship fixture, would most likely have gone very very wrong. Both for us, and the development of the poor lad.
He seems to be playing the Carlos Sanchez role. He's not brilliant obviously but he was good at Norwich when we had the worst injury crisis in living memory and actually he was ok when he came on against West Brom in seeing out the last 10 mins. He looks ok for that role. I would however like to know what's happened with Asprilla as feel he could be useful when trying to break down teams such as Preston who don't concede many goals
I have to say I don’t think he is very good, but he is not very bad either. A better squad option than many conning a living out of the club. I would keep him if the wages were reasonable.
You may be right, but if we integrate him in the future squad it just underlines the years of misery ahead of us now Pozzo has destroyed the club finances. A dreadful player, suitable for a dreadful club.
Much rather have a Youth player, even if they're worse than Bacuna. At least the youth player gains experience and we can see the levels they're at. Someone like Greaves for example. Only for this season by the way, as we have nothing left to play for.
Good point but the club won't see it like that until we are mathematically out of the play-offs. We'll know that when they sack Wilder.
