Frustrating for sure, the cutting edge upfront wasnt there today. However, next week davies and our new wonderkid will be up top. Pedro back shortly too, plus a good chance we will add one or two more before the end of the month. Still lots of reasons to be postive
I also believe that referees won't whistle for a foul before the corner/free kick is taken. To be a foul the ball must be in play. This is not very satisfactory is it? All the ref does (can do?) is speak to the players and rather weakly warn them. Yet again, football has made a rod for its own back.
What's parking like at Fishers these days? I haven't driven to a game in years and I remember it being quite expensive there (and going up) but unlike at other parks it was quite easy to find a space without having to turn up hours before KO. Was slow getting out (I headed for the A41 rather than M1) but that's par for the course after most football matches in the top two divisions.
Yep, you can get away with pretty much anything until the ball comes in. All the ref can do is send someone off for violent conduct, which the pushing and shoving rarely progresses to.
Pretty handy post game to get away. Anytime after 2pm and it's close to full up though. Ten quid nowadays.
Thanks for the information. Easy to see why supporters don't understand how a ref's interpretation of a situation does or doesn't lead to a free kick.
You have done it for me. I wouldn't want to upset the elite members. Well, not for a week or two at least. Just happy to read on here what the fans feel about our turd of a signing Bayo and of his true worth. Salut.
It has happened a few times. He misses and then berates himself, not aware of the play around him or where the ball is. Why? My guess is that he knows that is sh*t and out of his depth. The chances are going begging and his time will soon be at an end in a Watford shirt Rumours of Bayo being loaned out are becoming louder.
Funnily enough, I still haven't received a reply to the below... Just deeply strange behaviour @LaClusazSki, what do you get out of just inventing things in your head on a football forum?
One of my favourites is his claim that Sparta Rotterdam fans couldn't wait to be rid of Okoye - despite him winning the club's and fans player of the season award.
Wow you’re right. 11/8 (2.25) to finish top 6. I think we’re awful, but those are excellent odds given our current injury crisis. I opened a sky bet account for some free bets, and stand to make £50 from a fiver if we finish top 6.
I know it's difficult to predict with our medical team but anybody know the timeline for these three coming back? I got the feeling Davis would have been back for Saturday had he not been ill. If we can get these guys back plus new signings we should look pretty strong for the run in
It's never been any different apart from the the odd occasion. 1881 have made no difference at all. Still think they should be in The Vicarage Road End though
One of the strangest posters we have on here. Part of the time I think he's on a wind up and the other times I feel as if he believes in the things he posts. Maybe he suffers from altitude sickness
It's why I was so hopeful of Okoye making the spot his own. You could see in the extended highlights of his games that he had weaker handling and kicking than Bachmann, but he seemed to use his wingspan to decent effect like a Gomes v0.5 with a better diving reach. As it stands, he has looked very poor and that money spent looks absolutely pissed away, but there was also a reason he was so well liked by their fans and POTS and FPOTS so maybe a loan spell where he gets consistent games lets him show it wasn't wasted after all. Also, those odds for us finish Top 6 are far too good to ignore.
What's there to be excited about? Aside from thr Luton win, a couple of dour attritional victories here and there is all we have had for about 3 years. We are only going out of habit. Anyone who actually enjoys our home games wants sectioning.
I'd imagine the only people who enjoy it are small children and the 17 year olds who ask for shirts after the game.
They were correct in saying that he is not suited for the English game. Tell me, how many appearances has he made and how did he fare? Sparta were happy to bite the hand off Watford regarding the fee.
Let's wait for the financial books to become public knowledge, whenever the club released the ones the club want the fans to see. My understanding is the Manaj deal was £3m. I was correct on Bayo, Okoye and Kalu. A full hand would be nice
But he wasn't. Why would Charleroi accept a £1m bid for a player that they'd just signed for £1m? There's no benefit in it at all for them.
